My thoughts exactly. I already went in and saved the file as "Avenger", which will be re-worked to more fit the diagram, for those who insist on such things, and another saved as "Wallace", which will be a refit design.

One reason I had for changing it slightly was, I knew Terradhyne had done the ship, and his was very good, so why do it again? We have so many models by different modelers that look almost exactly the same...I figured it would be cool to have something a little different, but...seems there are some that want you stick exactly to the schematics. I wonder, if WZ did the same, would he be told to change it back? Probably not.  

Anyway, sorry for the little rant...sometimes feel like if I don't do it exactly as diagramed, I'll get told off. I know I'm not in WZ class, but I have at least made the effort and expense to try, and IMHO, I do a fairly good job, though I admit, my texturing needs a lot of work. But, I do ask in my wip threads what ya'll think, so...

OK, no more pics till I'm just about finished...I'll have side by side pics of both.

Looking good Sandman. As far as following shcematics. I see them as just a guide. It all comes down to personal taste really. Myself I don't care too much for doing Feds, cause there is a preconceived ideas as to how they have to look. Makes me feel boxed in.

Those who know me KNOW that I looking to push the envelope on designs.
The UFP is comprised of hundreds( HUNDREDS...lol) of worlds....So I use that as my basis
and defence in designing ships that look too alien to be a fed.
R-G...you are one of my favorite modellers out there because you do think outside the box
and are willing to go ahead and model your ideas.
