Decided to another pre-TOS ship, been awhile since I added anything to Heritage Shipyards.

This is the Avenger class fromSF Museum. I named and reg'd her in honor of my favorite NASCAR driver, #2 Rusty Wallace, who just broke a 105 race win drought last week.

This going to be a scout, lightly armed but very fast. I see it as the Fed answer to the B'Rel class BoP. Let me know what you think.

I love your pre-TOS ships. It's kinda like stepping into Parrish's holodeck pgm on Voyager. You really capture the "old" sci-fi feeling well.

What the heck was the name of that program, anyway? I know that it was a take off of Flash Gordon, but the name escapes me.

These ships are very fun to build...I sit and envision whole scenarios for the ships, "see" them zipping through space, imagine an encounter with a new alien race...basically my own little Trek universe.

V. Cool, could u change the registry to NCC-D2 though? so it would then make sense to have such an insanely low registry on a ship that was made after the Enterprise, all the sfmuseum Avengers and Predators have this destroyer prefix which I think makes sense but wouldn't fit with canon

So yeah it's cool but not really pre-tos.

Nice mesh but that saucer aztec is looking a little distorted, I guess it was made for one of your ships with a circular saucer and now it wont fit the weird Avenger saucer bulge. Still, should look good when done.

Yeah, I tried to get that fixed, but evrything else came out wierd, so I decided to leave as is, not really noticable at game distances.

The Reg I can change, NP...I'll just leave it this way for personal use.

And, after Enterprise, nothing at SFM is canon, so...

Ok, did some more texturing before work, here's a little looksee...

f.c.u.k. 'em: Enterprise isn't canon as far as I'm concerned - Star Trek ended with Voyager/First Contact for me, anything after is just bollax from Berman and Braga

I know...looked wierd with a shuttlebay there, so did an impulse. Like I said, I see this as more of an scout than a DD...hell, maybe we'll just call her a new class, based on the Avenger.

I mean, they had no impulse drive that I could see...

Sorry, but with some of these ships, I feel I need to alter them a little, to make them fit my personal outlook on ST. If there is a big enough outcry, I'll do 2 versions...this one and the one from the SFM. Otherwise, she stands as is, excepting minor alterations.

the impulse is the standard constitution impulse drive mounted sideways on on the rear of the neck, it's on the schematics.

Looking good Sandman. As far as following shcematics. I see them as just a guide. It all comes down to personal taste really. Myself I don't care too much for doing Feds, cause there is a preconceived ideas as to how they have to look. Makes me feel boxed in.
