I'm just trying to add a little variety to my game, trying to make it as uber-canon as possible and this is my current dilemma.

I was curious if anyone knew if you could specify a certain shuttle to a certain ship? Say, if I wanted to attribute the "Delta Flyer" mod I have to be the shuttle specific used by the Intrepid or the "Fed Type-10" I have specific to the Defiant or the "Fed Type-11" to just the Sovereign, is that possible, or if its basically just "one shuttle for all"? Although I haven't attempted it, I suppose you could put all 3 of those shuttles in the same "classname" and then would they be generated at random when you use them in battle, right? Or would the game just likely explode...

I do have a Ferengi Pod I tried to associate with the Ferengi Marauder (and Ferengi in general), but where in the DefaultLoadOut or Core is it associated so that it knows what shuttle to use, seeing that I do not believe there is a "FedShuttle" assigned to the Ferengi like there is to the RaceY and Pirates. I may be wrong, but I don't see it in my copy that has long since been mangled and manipulated.

Any thoughts, ideas or comments?

I don't know enough about programing but here's my chance to learn. Ok my first question is......how are the fighters associated to the CVS ? Could you not make the parameters that make the association more specialized to look for one particular model? Like on the ship list where it says shuttles or where it says fighters,could you not change it there to look for a model folder that contained the shuttle you desire?

in sfc 1-2 op no, since there only one type of shuttle for the game compare to the fighter.

I have experimented with shuttles in SFC3 and had no luck getting any race to use more then 1. A shuttle can be made into any class ship however by changing the hull designation. Then u can equip it to drop mines and so forth. So u can make say a borg queens yaht or Delta flyer. But then all Feds will have Delta Flyers.

Ok I get that part but I know I can change the model I see for the Shuttle and all fighters.If I changed say the early stock fighter to a Galileo 7 model . I should be able to rewrite the shiplist to include the option of having the fighter on my FCA so that when I supply the ship I can obtain the Galileo right?

yes, if you replace your fighter by shullte you can chose what ship have what type of shuttle, but you will lose some of your fighter but gain a group up to 6 shuttle tha attack a ship, might be cool to see a group of shuttle in formation attaking a ship

Thats what i do, in SFC2OP, I have type 6, 9, 10, 11, the delta flyer, and another i cant recall, but the 6 is the standard one for all feds, then the special ships such as Defiant, intrepid, sovereign, voyager, i put fighter slots in and give them those options, its very kewl, to be attacked by fighters, I even have a special one with a type 4 phaser for fun, sometimes the game gets boring, so when that shuttle comes along, run like hell, or firing everything you got at it, lol
