U.S.S. Vanquisher

This is my take on what a Dominion War refit of the underused and under-appreciated Ambassador class would look like (A personal favorite of mine). She has saucer mounted torpedo tubes (a homage to the Patton), a quantum launcher in the neck, and two more photon tubes mounted aft. I also added a set of phasers to the ventral and dorsal hull since the original Ambassador is strangely lacking phaser coverage in those areas. Minor design changes were made, notably in the deflector and shuttle bay areas, and she even comes with an extra large cup holder for the Captain. This is probably the most intensive texture work I've done on a ship in a long time and I think she turned out nicely.

I would've preferred posting her on DRS but since it's off the grid for the moment, Azel offered to host her temporarily. You can download the Vanquisher here.

At the risk of sounding like a brown noser, that has got to be the nicest ambassador I've seen for this game.  Sweet job, very nice.

P.S.  I like Latinas...

Super sweet ship dude,

There aren't enough not-worthy icons for those textures.

I'll second modelsplease's request for an Ent-C version as I loved that ship and episode.

My poor, ancient, dial-up hiccupped over this , but from what I saw, she looks awesome!!! Puts my Ent.C to shame, hands down.

hey wz, nice job. My only disagreement is in the engeneering hull phasers, would have been to add port and star banks  along the middle of the engeneering hull...otherwise it looks great.

Another thing is have you tried nightsoft from the IP I posted in the nightsoft thread that was floating around? You should be able to access both your site and ftp  from it, I know I can and have been for a few days.

Daaaaaym WZ, you are GOD!

The only gripes I have are with the saucer impulse engines and the forward saucer mounted torps. First off, the impulse engines look like they were hasilty "cut n' pasted" into the saucer, and I'd reather see something resembling the Galaxy's impulse system (perhaps they could be scaled and added in a new variant?) The saucer torpedoes are odd because they suffer from STS: Sovereign-turret-Syndrome (AKA the torpedo launchers couldn't possibly fit into that itty bitty space.) My suggestion is to put some type of Waverider there (any shape would be fine,) and then place the new forward torpedoes in the front of the bridge platform (similar in arrangement to the NEM Sovereign I might add, which could mean that the Vanquish is a prototype testbed prior to NEM)

Also, I must say that your renditions of the Andromedan Fleet are mindblowing. Would you consider redoing the Instestellar Concordium Fleet, so they look like a combination of the Stock Taldren Designs, the original SFB starships, and your eagle-eye for artistry?

I'm gonna head off now, d/ling all those ships will take a while...
