« on: April 15, 2004, 07:09:44 pm »
The apartment just under mine caught on fire today...
I just found out...I haven't even gotten home yet (I will be leaving for home as soon as I am done typing this)
Everyone's fine on my end...none of us where home( thankfully)
But I'll make a better assesment as more info becomes available.
I just wanted you to know what is going on...I have to halt all my projects untill then

Thanks mates

Holy sh11te dude - I'm so glad no one was hurt and that you're okay, and real sad to hear about ur neighbour's situation, if my karma weren't so screwey I'd try and project some 'good vibes' but I'd probably end up causing someone else's place to catch on fire

Once again - glad no one was hurt (physically)

Hey Azel!
Man! I'm sorry to hear about what happened. But at least no one was injured. That's what counts. Property can always be replaced. But I am sorry if anything of value was lost to your neighbors. I wish you all the best!

Thanks again mates

no damage to my apt...just smelled like bad BBQ
it seems that the Fire was caused by a Ciggarette...but its not conclusive yet

Glad to see it worked out well for you.

If I were you though I would ask the Manger to be moved to a different unit if possible, you have no way of knowing at this point how much damamge may have been caused by the fire to the building structure.

I go to the College of Aeronautics in Queens, and I over heard someone talking about an apartment in bkln that was on fire, aparently she the person must live some where near you or something, , im starting to think maybe it was the fire below your apartment, thats wierd but I hope everything is alright, take care

Take care of yourself, I hope you find that the damage is minimal. The important thing has already been worked out, you and your family are all ok.

That is if there are any empty units. It would be more hassel than it would be getting all your utilities reconnected to that suite aswell as the mail a Change of Address. There are Charges for all of this and the reconnection fees are not cheap consider your his ISP connection. It will all be fixed up by who ever owns the building they have to do this atleast where I am.I would just get your place cleaned up to get smell out eg. carpet furniture etc.
