That Loknar update I was working on... y'know..
« on: April 12, 2004, 06:32:27 pm »
Well, I've finished it..

You didn't know I was working on one?  Well, I was asked about this one as well by Rogue_NineCH.. and when Wolfsglen released his, I decided to also update a few of those textures as well.

So needless to say, we now have plently of Loknar's.. (shrug).  But hey, it looks pretty..

And a download link for those that want it..

And there we go..

Lo Wolfsglen - don't delete urs, it's still gr8 and it's not like there aren't a thousand models of the Enterprise out there, why not have more variety of Loknars aswell.

BTW Atheorhaven, you got a screwy texture, the intercoolers (think that's what they're called) are glowing blue, if you use the nacelles off of LS's weathered Connie then the textures are applied separately and so they wont have the blue glow.

Maybe it's a "Formula X" variant, the USS Le Mans.

Kickass work there Atheor, but I noticed that you are using the Amarillo USAF font on your Loknar. I fell into the same pitfall while retexturing a few of Lord Schtupp's Salah Ad-Dins (or Saladins if you like), but then I found this webpage on Maritime Sci-Fi Modelers. It has accurate references for the exact fonts used on Trek ships from TOS to ENT (or ENT to NEM if you think about it ).

Starfleet Decals - A Chronology of Starship Hull Markings

You'll notice that early TOS ("The Cage" and earlier) ships used Amarillo USAF, but the series variant uses Machine Extended. Also, it makes various little known details (like the Excelsior's tilted SF Pennant) known, which is kinda sweet IMO.

Another winner, man! Damn, I'm just in heaven when I can get my hands on another TOS ship.

To whom it may concern, We definately don't have TOO many. Don't go deleting anything, please.

I popped it into CV and the poly count is 2761. Size is about 10% longer than Taldren's stock F-CA.
