Are the markets closed tomorrow?
« on: April 08, 2004, 12:36:16 pm »
Before I head out, just wanted to know if stocks are closed tomorrow? If not, then I wish they were, if anything out of respect for Christ.

BTW, who's looking out for you?   I would NEVER recommend something without being in the foxhole with you guys and gals.

Check out those gains my brethren, I only regret I was not paying attention last week when Yahoo announced mid-day the partnership, back last week earlier it was 8 something a share! Welcome to Yahoo of India in the beginning stages!

I should have asked you guys and gals about math, as I did not fully invest what Leda had in free trade cash, she still has 500 dollars left, and I bought two days ago.   But hey, when I show you the rose garden, you will see I took your math advice and got it right the first time, the front of the house is exploding with color, gotta love good climate and roses!

The NYSE is closed tomorrow I believe.

My younger nephew asked me if I had to work today when I replied "yes" he said, "I think no one should work today because today is the Last Supper."

I work for a bank and we are open tomorrow.  Banks tend to follow Federal holiday schedules, and in states with state holidays, certain state holidays as well.

Thanks for the info KM. You would not believe it here in Mexico, it was the beginning of the holidays yesterday, and most stores, banks, etc... (Except for places like Home Depot) are running on skeleton crews today. Tomorrow is no ifs, ands, or buts, most places will be closed except for retail, and many retail stores will be closed tomorrow.

Maybe us Americans are too cold, too uptight about things sometimes? I know that I'm guilty of it. Maybe we can learn something from our neighbors to the south?

Actually here in Iowa alot of the smaller towns shut down at noon
since it is good Friday.  We are all spoiled, I remember as a kid that
on any holiday everything would shut down.  Now Even on Xmas
night you can go see a movie, or grocery shop.
