I LOVE IT.

It's fantastic. Maybe I'm nuts, but it really is great at holding my eye. Do you mind if I save it?

One more thing...

Keep it up!

it is the same model that Pneumatic 81 released back November 2002... Some mdelers have did some retextures on her since the, but I haven't found one tht can capture her essence like Pneumatic 81 has..

anyhow.. hee is a screenie of her in taldren model viewer.. background editied to enhance the ship.

So what do you all think ?

this Model is over 1 and 1/2 years old and created by Pneumatic 81 (Rick Knocks) of Mad-Doc Software as a Community fan based model for free.

Hope that this helps...

You can either find the OP Enhancement Package v1.04 High Resolution Model pack, OP Enhancement Pack Low Resolution Model Pack, OP + 3.1,  Dynaverse 2 Model Pack High Resolution, or Dynaverse 2 Model Pack Low Resolution... all these packs include this model... of course High Res and Low Res contains the respective resolution based models... and the pack you download should represent the capabilities of your Video Card.

Thanks

Edited to correct P81's company name that i originally mis-spelled.

I would say it is great Pestalence although it does not have an A on it put impressive. Is this a contest we have going on here especialy with the Moderaters?

This model was based off Star Trek : The Motion Picture

It is the original Enterprise from TOS refit.. In ST : TMP, ST II : TWOK, and ST III : TSFS, the U.S.S. Enterprise had no bloody A on it... Besides who would want an A when they can have the Original ???

I just like the A I guess I have a thing for it.If I were to back to 1978 and redesign the TMP Enterprise it would look more like the TV series one except it would have the Photon Torpedoe Launcher like in your pic and a internal deflector dish like in your pic.The ship it self would look exactly like it did in TOS.I like the Bridge on the A aswell as Engineering a real warp core not a coil and James Doohan said it himself.

No, not a contest.. it is just some eye candy that some of us like putting out.. it is not limited to the moderators....

I'm using Taldren model Viewer and In Game screen shots (F12 key) then using PSP to edit the unnecessary stuff out or to change background color.. the ship itself has not been edited or touched up.

I also added 2 screen shots above.. I had to re-do them as the images came out too dark the first time.. i had to adjust gamma so the ship would show up better.

PSP is Paint Shop Pro.. My version is 7.04

To use Taldren model Viewer, Dl the model Viewer and Unzip it...

Open ModelViewer.exe

go to File and click Open

Point it to a Model.. if you have a model outside the game, or a jmodel inside the game.. makes no difference.. for Default install of game models.. it is

c:\Program Files\Taldren Software Inc\Starfleet Command Orion Pirates\Assets\Models

pick a folder.. like the Enterprise.. it is F-CA

to load the model go into F-CA and click on fca.mod

this will now show in the Model Viewer on a blue background

use your mouse to turn the ship.. + and - will zoom in and out.. the model Viewer is 3D, so you can twist you ship all different ways to look at it, or to take screen shots...

If you download a custom model.. you can preview it in Model Viewer before replacing a model, or adding it to a mod...

the fca_brk.mod file is the break model for when a ship explodes... most people don't look at those unless they are editing them or making new ones..

just a slight correction, but Pneumonic works for Mad Doc software now, not Mad Dog.  Just thought I'd point that out in case any of the folks unfamiliar wanted to seek it out.  His stuff does have a definite beauty to it, and tends to capture the look and spirit of the originals quite well.

Sure you can replace models.. go to the modeling Forum and find a model tht is available to DL.. using F-CA for example... you want a TOS version...

say you find one that Dl's as ftos.zip.. when you unzip it, the folder name is ftos

go into ftos and find the ftos.mod and ftos_brk.mod files...

rename them to fca.mod and fca_brk.mod

then rename the ftos folder to fca.. now go into your game's model Directory.. and find the fca folder and rename it to fca1

now take the folder that you renamed from ftos to fca and move it into the models Directory of your game....

when you launch the game now.. instead of the old fca you had, the ship you downloaded is now on the screen...

you can do this for any of the models.. if you are making a mod adding ships and such, you can add different models.. and there are a couple of files to edit besides the shiplist to make things look correct.. but try doing this first before editing any other files...

to go back to your original model.. you can rename the new fca folder to fca2 and then rename fca1 back to fca...

this will restore your original model.

hope that this helps
