Does AV affect the damage done by your weopons or just the chance to hit?

Pest, hush.

AV, along with range, skill of officers on both sides, size of target, and level of computer, impact to-hit %.

Damage is determined by the weapon itself, your officers skill, the level of charge on the weapon, and (in the case of all weapons other than Photon, Quantum, Gravimetric, and Polaron torpeodos) range.

Correct.

AV only affects your to hit % and is a 1 for 1 subtraction from the base
number.  It is limited to a maximum decrease of 35.

Thanks,
