I'm not sure the owner of that website appreciates you  stealing his bandwidth hotlinking all of those pictures, no?   Adim??....

Perhaps a simple link to  here would be more acceptable....

They reused the model as a Bajoran ship in the DS9 ep "Shadows and Symbols."  I always thought that there should be more Bajoran ships in SFC.

I'm aware of that, I was moreso pointing out that the bandwidth bandit there is screwing the owner of that site everytime someone reads this post.  I was hoping the Admins here would notice that becuase it's not what you call "proper internet-etiquette".

But yes, I've posted a "model wanted" on this ship before and there has been no takers.

Hey if anyone has any version of the ship, such as you Adam, feel free to email it to me and I ought to be able to convert it to SFC or even if you want, send the one you converted and have texture probs with and I can likely fix it, well hopefully, I've been pretty lucky lately

You can email it/them to : futuramaguy@hotmail.com

I realize most people are not aware of bandwidth theft or how it works, but I belong to a forum that is hardcore against it and I guess their ideals have got the best of me.   Anyway, there is a good website (#1 Google search result) that discusses it:  Bandwidth Theft.

But in short...

Quote:

The person whose site the image is on that you are linking to for the source of the image is paying to display their image on your site.

That site owner is paying one way or another to have that graphic displayed on the web. Perhaps they pay a monthly fee. Perhaps, they use a 'free' web service, however, they have limits on the amount of bandwidth they are allowed to use. By linking to the graphic, YOU have STOLEN from them one way or another.

Anyway, its nothing personal, and I know I'm far from an Administrator around here, but I do know who has the site and I'm just watching out for them.

NP, FG. Next time though, you might want to tone down the "feel" of the post, as there are those who don't really understand about bandwidth. But then, maybe I'm being jumpy...I remember the flame wars from awhile ago that almost cost us ALL the old hands...hell we're still getting a few of them back every once in awhile. Just try the "milk and sugar" approach first, then if you get slammed by someone, we'll all know it was an innocent suggestion.
