I am another month from worrying about the lawn mower which is a POS which needs ether in the spring to get it started and its death would make me happy except for having to buy another. I would get a self propelled this time though because of the slope that I have to mow.

Pour some on the ground and move the can very far away light a match and
throw it at the puddle.  If it follows the vapor trail back to the can and explodes
it is  good       gas.

On second thought just dispose of it legaly and get some new.

The shelf life of gas is going vary depending on what recipe is in use in your area. Here it is no good for small engines in about six monts although mixed into the gas in your car it will work fine. I suggest doing that and getting fresh gas for the mower. Get some fuel stabilizer before you store your small engines and the extra fuel at the end of the season and the gas will be fine in the spring.

Well I put the oil in Put the gas in it But Im afraid to start it. If I start it I will have to do the yard, and it will get dirty.
