No Feddies or Ridgeheads I take it?
« on: February 26, 2003, 02:34:06 pm »
I haven't seen any posts by the Klingons or the Feddies.   Are there any left in D2?   I guess they all went of to D3land.

I see some old posts about something called the KBF.   Is that a defunct Klingon fleet?   Rommies kill them off?  I heard they were kinda good.   Might have actually given the SOS a challenge.

Too bad.  I was hoping to kill some D2 Klingons.  Nothing like de-cloaking your Warbird behind a Klingon and unloading your heavy plasmas into that pathetic shielding.

Well, I really hope there are some Klingons and Feds left.   Not the same without them.

There are tons of both. Some are playing SFC3 until the next major D2 campaign starts, others are taking some well deserved time off. Another thing is that most fleets have moved to the SFC2.net forums for their disscusions and this forum does seem a little dead because of it.  Check this link for more info.

Now Nero sweetie,

Don't go and rile up the Klingons too, I was counting on having a few of those big strong warriors as bodyguards.

I hope that we will get the priviledge of fighting alongside and against Kathless's finest.  That goes for all the other non-Fed non-Gorn fleets (I don't expect them to leave their normal races).  That was why I chose Day of the Eagle, I thought we might get the chance to fly alongside more players from the other races than on a server having more races available.

I'm sure we will have plenty to fight as well, just don't know if we want to fight them all,.........yet.

I'm just worried about where the heck they are.    And yes, flying with some non-SOS allies would be fun.

They are still sleeping off the "election" of their new chancellor.

BTW, in SFC2 cloak=death.

LOL,  so who is the new leader?

As for the cloak. In SFC3 it equalls death also.   I use it often.   Feddies yell and moan about it, but hey, it's a Rommie thang!   I figure in SFC2 it'll be about the same and all.  Maybe not as good, but still fun.

A hint Mr. TuTu:    Don't get too close to a cloaked Rommie.  Try to wait for him to unclaok first from range and then close in.   If you let me get close to you while cloaked.   You are dead.    Looking forward to fighting the Gorn.   I want to see how a plasma ship can operate without a cloak.

The Klingons are watching and waiting Nero, so far all we have seen about this war of yours is broken promises and hot air.

Ummm, are you familiar with T-Bombs? I would happily close with a cloaked ship. It's like ringing a dinner bell. I suspect you will find this out soon enough, however.

Great I love barbeques. In SFC2 range 0 is the place to be when a rom is cloaked.

BTW, if any SOS guys and gals want a little SFC2 practice tonight on GSA look me up. I'll teach you the Plasma Ballet and the fallacy of the Rom cloak.

Unfortunately Nero the cloak that you are used to in SFC3 is but a dream in SFC2.  SFC2 has no true cloak.  You can cloak all you want but your oppenent still knows where you are and can still shoot.  Just has a reduced chance to hit you.  Sorry for the awakening.

Dear SOS Fleet,

Please be so kind as to take a number on our "needs a lesson in whoop-ass" list. I am sure that I could get some of my Honorable Klingon foes, and a few Feds  to go to Game Spy or any server you care to pick, or I could set up a server just for SOS and us to play in and give you a little peek at just how easy it is to kill us.

Would you like to meet KBF, SSCF, 9thAF, FPF, XTF, and the Koth fleets in a friendly match?

If you do just leave me a note in the thread.

Oh my, were are my manners?

I am SSCF Hooch one of the A/RMs for the Federation fleets. I think my boss FPF Bach would like to meet you.

ALso, I would not seek to anger KBF Gow (the head red these days) or the rest of the klingons these days, their blood is up right now and they are itch'n for a fight.

But, if you are willing to put that smuge tone of yours to the test, well lets just say it can be arranged.

Have a nice Federation day.

Hooch

PS

Cloak in D2 does get you dead fast.

Hi,

Just getting started here.  Boy what a hostile room.

I look forward to meeting people in battle.  This game seems very similar to D3 but with lousy ability to fly as fleets.

I still dont have the hang of how to attack against people as a fleet as I never seem to get anyone on my side in the mission.  I hope I am just doing this wrong.

What is up with this TBomb thing and cloaking?  I thought that the patching they are doing in SFC3 is to make the cloak work like the one in SFC2.  Is that wrong ?????

I am still learning the user interface and all the buttons.  No wonder they dumped alot of them for SFC3 they dont do anything!

Like this lighting bolt button, all the numbers are 5, when I set them all to 1 nothing changes, so what is it for ??????

Please be gentle because I am only learning this game.  Some of my fleet mates say they started with SFC1?!?!? never seen this one but I met them on D3 and we have fun.

I have been playing on this 7.35 server as a romulan and there is hardly anyone there.  Is this normal ????

Please see the other thread you posted in, I tried to answer your questions there.  Oh, and all those panels DO do something, you just have to know what.

Am I reading these posts by the "SOS" wrong, or are they just very pompous and arrogant as a general rule? Or is that just role-playing? You can look for me anytime, I'll make sure you have your chance to show me which end of a phaser is which. I hope you're half as good as you think you are though. See you on  the server, and good-luck ahead of time.

My sentiments exactly, Cleo.

It almost like when people are chosing to play outside their race (either because they have to (not included) or because they want to, they are all lining up on the Fed/Gorn side.

What's up wi' DAT!?  Everybody in a big hurry to gang bang the SOS!?
