SFC3 Beta patch bringing back bugs from SFC2.....

IN SFC2: EAW, there was a 'major' bug where, sometimes, weapon hardpoints would ONLY show has 'just fired' or 'ready' (they wouldn't show 'charging').

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT AFTER many PATCHES, (from 2.0.0.0 to 2.0.3.6) THEY DIDNT FIX IT!!!!

Anyway, in SFC3 I was very pleased to see that there wasnt any such bug in this game.

HOWEVER, after installing the BETA patch, the same old problem has reappeared :- on average, 2 weapon hardpoints per mission ONLY show 'Just fired' - they DONT show 'charrging' OR 'ready')....

WTF is going on....????

I had this before the patch. Periodically, one or more weapons (typically one) would show just fired, even though it was charging or charged. Clicking on the hardpoint displayed the charging bar, which was correct, but there hardpoint graphic itself would not reflect the status. Sometimes I would notice the problem only after I had been in the mission for a while, while other times it would manifest itself immediately.

If this is the same problem, I would hardly call it major since I do not feel it has ever affected my performance in the mission.

Yeah I noticed this in SFC2 and also in pre-patch SFC3.  Personally it is little more than a barely-registering annoyance.  The status messages that appear in green, yellow, and red are for me just as useful, and more so since I can go to the full-screen mode and still see what's charged, or destroyed now that the patch fixed that.

This little "bug" doesn't seem to follow any real pattern.  Sometimes they will start indicating properly in the middle of a mission, sometimes Q-torps change to Phasers in the middle of a mission then change back (the actual weapon still works but indicates a Phaser for a while...)  

There's bigger fish to fry.  The weapons still work and one can still see when they're charged via the text messages.
