Aye, and thank you InragedSith....
feel very disappointed that I did not see but a couple of SG-1 episodes... after I read the Omnipedia, I was transfixed for a good half-hour... at least!
this Go'auld race reminds me of the Wamphyri of the Necroscope series, by Brian Lumley... the first books were written in 1980 through '83...
just a horror take on the Go'ald, (I dare say the other way around, very close) the Wamphyri are composed of these leeches, who are grown from mushroom-like spores, on a parallel Earth.... when something (usually human) gets 'impregnated' by such as this, they evolve into Wamphyri, or what we know of as vampires....
really recommended reading, if you can afford to buy 10 freakin' books (I sacrifice beer money... on #7 now!).. the hero is just amazing... the vampires themselves are not pansy lil' shoe-gazers... they lust, kill, conquer, scheme and destroy! There's a couple through the series ( like Shiatan, Faethor, or Lady Karen) that really personify Shakespeare's view of a 'true' antagonist.... that the anatagonist, in all actuality, has to theoretically be AS interesting, if not MORE interesting, that the protagonist themselves, save that we the reader lose a bit of interest in the story itself...
http://www.brianlumley.com/maybe someone finds interest in it... ah, horror, sci-fi's bastard brother...
boy, is that off-topic, or what?!? Anyhow, thanks for the ship pictures!!!!! They're great!
