a Bunch of ships which need texturing--ships downloadable

They are made by Nebula. He has a  couple completed, if you go to bcfiles you  can search for the selfridge class as an example, and if anyone wants to put it or the new ones in SFC,   Nebula says it  makes no difference to him. Some of these are max 6.

Well  if they are max 6 then they can't be converted to sfc as the mod exporter does not support max 6. It only goes up to max 5. You cant even make them backwords compatable either. Which is why im sticking to max 4, that and I cant afford anymore upgrades. If something goes wrong with this system that will be it for me and computers for a while.

well, if  max 6 can save as  3ds I don't  know why it couldn't be opened in an earlier version, deep exploration, or other such program. I mean, they aint textured yet or even mapped so there must be some  format max 6 can save  in that another will open.

From what I understand you were suppose to be able to do that, But they changed it at the last minute To where you cant, Anti piracy crap and all that, plus they want to force you to upgrade to the latest version too. I have tried Ebolli's  Ktinga wich is done in max 6 3ds And My version of max would not open it.

Dont know about deap exploration route dont have it but if it could convert it to a earlyer version then yes it might be possable to go that route.

you   guys are full of sh*t

There's your proof. Nebula exported a 6 model to 3ds, sent it to  me and I loaded in 3.1. Now, anyone wanna texture these?

Well after telling people there full of it, I wouldn't then ask the same people to texture for you. How about doing them yourselve.  Don't say you don't know how, because none of us do at first. If you want them in game that bad, start reading some tutorials on texturing. Oh and good luck.

If we had the ability to do it ourselves we would. And it  matters not to me if any of these ships  ever get done. They aint mine. I simply provides a means of posting the pix for nebula so he could get them out. You got  a guy here who's an excelent modeler willing to share his designs with you,   and if you  want too look the gift horse in the mouth with stupid comments and disinformation about format compatability  then it's your loss.

I don't know anything about modelling or converting .But if it's not that tough Starforce2 sir.May I request you convert them all.Maybe they won't all get textured right away but at least they will all be one step closer to making it into the game.

I don't have the ability but I do it anyway cause I like it. I think what you mean is you have no interest in it. Which is fine. What bugged me is that you act like you were given mis info on purpose.  Its hard enough to keep up with all the various formats and plugins. Whats the point. Talking to you is like doing this.
You say you want ships in the game but you made it known you don't want mine. I know all you do is serve your own interests which again is fine but could you be a but more tactful? Is it too much too ask? You tell me I am full of sh*t and I will go off.
I think the modelers that responded to you were just trying to help and you dump all over them. Most modelers here  are helpful as can be.

LOL..where is all this crap  comming from? I never said you were full of anything,  you hadn't even posted in this thread when I  made the comment,  though you seem to be demonstrating that the shoe fits. And who says I don't want your ships? I currently can't find any working pictures of anything you've made, and I can't remeber any of them if I looked when they were working. And me  not wanting your ship(s) doesn't mean they suck. And you are right, I have no interest in texturing and not much interest in modeleing either, because I have been unable  to  find decent tutorials with one exception,   deemons spline tutorial, which was the first time I ever got anything explained in a tutorial  to  actualy work. So seeing as I have no ability to actualy apply a texture to  a model, why would I want to  learn how to make them? That would be pointless. Now if talking to me is the equivlent  of this:    why do you  continue to do so? You are an odd one,  for sure.

As far as models please, I do intend to get all of the models converted to a useable  format,  unless someone wants the max 6   versions,  however nebula had to  sign off and do some homework  last night and wasn't able to send me  more than the one model I renderd in 3ds. He is on daily, so I suspect I'll be able to get them  today sometime.

You'll notice 4 ships at the bottom  of the list that say "Ship needing texture" in the text line, those are 4 of the first ones. Cruiser is the one I rendered. Light scout is a saucer with a  ring and dorsal/ventral nacelle assembly. Scout looks like an overweight nova  class. The remaining ship is an akula style,  except modern era. There is a 3ds of mackies carthage too,  if anyone wants to texture it.
