Heading Across The Pond Again!

Hey folks,

I woke up this morning to some very good news.  As many of you are aware, I'm currently finishing up my second year here at university.  One of the interesting things about my university (Memorial University of Newfoundland), is that they have a small campus in England which rotates through course offerings each semester.  Well, next fall they are offering a joint Political Science and History program (which I'm doing a double major in), and this morning I received an email from the department stating that I had been accepted.

So, rather than returning here to St. John's in September, myself and twenty others will be heading out across the 'pond'.  While it is more expensive, it's an oppurtunity I cannot refuse.  The program outline states that we will be making trips to various battle fields in Europe, as well as trips to Paris and Brussels.  In addition, they've scheduled our class time so that we get a long weekend every week, and with the cheap travel options I should be able to explore Europe while there.  The best part is that I'll only be two hours from my sisters location, meaning I can spend some of my weekends with her and her family.  I'm really stoked about this!

For those who live in the U.K., the campus is in Harlow, just north of London.  If any of you guys have been in the area let me know some information about it...I'm very curious.  Anyway, just thought I would share the good news.

Wow very cool! I hope you enjoy the place. I don't know much about Harlow I'm afraid but I know London is quite an intense place to visit as it is very much a working city, population density is insane so you might want to get out and explore other areas of the UK. The south coast is pretty cool and you could always come to Portsmouth and have a look at some of the stuff we've got here. I'd be happy to show you around

Whatever you do, have fun but don't be suprised by some of the late night stuff you see as the youth of the UK like to drink a bit too much, lol.
