there is nothing comparable to a good volley of overleaded disrupters and heavy photons.
i dont think the saberdance is very usefull in sfc unless ure 1vs1 and u got a lot of time.for my personal expirience overlaoded disrupters and some transporter action to cripple the enemies rear weapons can be much more effective.all u got to do is to glue yourself to the rear shield of the enemy , distance 8-5,tractor on repel if u play agains gorn or romulans, keep your ecm up and if u can u should divert some power to your front shielding .for the case the opponent does a het u could prepare a suicide shuttle.for the case ure 1 vs one and u need to do some repairs or your photons need energy to reload u can drop a wild weasel and putting your ecm panel to maximum. i want to see a photons thats hits a ship with 12 ecm even if your speed is zero. works good if your enemy is much faster and quite close (6 or closer).btw that works against photonloaded feds or other klinks - its is a bad idea against lyran, mirak, romulans and gorn-they will beam mines onto your position and than theyll just wait till your wild weasel is gone.
normal disruptors work fine when u have some support. weaken the shields of the lightest opponent and finish him of up close , run and reload and than deal with the bigger ones. a team mate could play the punching ball while u kill the frigates or destroyers and than u simply gangbang the last enemy standing.
these things worked well on my last sfc lan party.i mostly play feds and klinks, sometimes hydran - i dont have much luck with lyrans. my favorite opponents are mirak, feds and lyrans.i love those to blow up.
ive never played sfb so i cant tell if it works there (i suppose it doesnt).
just my two cents
