It's classified as frigate which for SFB means yup.

An SFB frigate would be FF - CL means Light Cruiser

But cool ship in any case

Now that it's been brought up, isn't there a striking design similarity between the Akyazi and the NX-01, more so than between the Akira and the NX-01? For example, both the Akyazi and the NX-01 have warp pylons that join in a pod in the center which houses some sort of impulse housing and/or deflection crystal, whereas on the Akira that pod is just for weapons. Also both have upwards slanting pylons.

Is that a kitbash of the Polar Lights kit, by the way?

I know that physically it looks like an Akayazi Class but those perimeter action ships  are small. Base on the size of this ship I would r classify it as a variant on fasa's Loknar class frigate mho

The model comes like that ,no kitbashing required.

No, not really.

I don't see why people can't realise the similarites go way beyond basic hull shapes because by that logic every Enterprise from 1701-A to 1701-E is a ripp-off of the previous one and the original.

http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/misc/enterprise_design_comment.htm

read this article and you'll see why the NX-01 is just a slightly altered Akira. If you've not the patience to read that then just look at this image at least: http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/misc/enterpriselarge-comments.jpg

and this one: http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/misc/akira-vs-akiraprise.jpg

I know I'm hitting a brick wall but I try anyway.
