Customized screen shots....
« on: March 16, 2004, 06:46:56 pm »
I've been making customized screen shots for my own photogallery...

I am useing them for Custom Signatures...

I'm practicing on the F-CA mostly, but I have made one for KBF-Hangnail on these boards

here is one that i made for the background of my web site

and here is one that i just made ...

and here is the Sig i did for Hangnail

The reason my signature looks so grainy below is because GIFs save in 256 color and not 24 or 32 bit color.. as such, it loses a lot of it's background.

Anyhow.. i'm looking into other methods of making animated gif sigs that will allow for true color, but my software is limited to 256 color gif format for animations.. but PSP will allow me to make a still true color signature in jpg format.

let me know what you think.. I can make them for people per request.. I pull the ships out of Model Viewer and /or out of game and separate them from the background.. the backgrounds come streight from the NASA site fromthe hubble Telescope, and i have to search the web for a good looking Race Emblem..

anyhow, just post here or PM me about a sig ant let me know what you would like and /or want... and if you want race specific writing like Hangnail's Sig above (it says "For Honor and Glory" in the Klingon Script at top of image).. it may take me a bit to find the corresponding font to make it.. but it can be donw.

anyhow let me know what you think.

I found 3 or 4 programs that allow for 32 bit gifs.. but the problem is the cost.. ranging from 150 to 300 dollars.. not my cup of tea
