Topic: TMP FASA to SFC Collection Update: 3/15/04

The following information is based on my personal collection of (late) TMP Era FASA Trek models made for SFC. This information is accurate through of 3/14/04 and does not apply to pre-TOS, TOS or TNG eras:

Largest number of non-canon FASA Trek ships made by race:

Federation:

1st: Chandley Class with 13 models
Runner up: Remora Class with 11 models

Klingon:

1st: D-10 Riskadh with 14 models
Runner up: L-9 Saber with 8 models

Romulan:

1st Place: V-7 White Wind with 5 models
Runner up: A three-way tie between the V-11 Stormbird, V-30 Winged Defender, and the Z-1 Nova. All have 3 models.

STILL MISSING IN ACTION or WIP Report:

Federation:

Liberty class freighter STATUS: converted from a ST: Armada this needs to be given to a competent modeler who can fit the mesh errors.

Brenton Class by Kreeargh STATUS: WIP

Klingon:

D-10 TOS Carrier version by Dolpheonix? STATUS: UNRELEASED.

D-11 One-wing by Sandman3d STATUS: WIP

Romulan:

T-10 Kitbash (upward wings) D?deridex STATUS: UNRELEASED
V-4 by Anduril STATUS: UNRELEASED
V-11 by Terradyne STATUS: UNRELEASED
V-20 by Terradyne STATUS: WIP
V-27 Comet of Destruction STATUS: Being lit for SFC2/3

RELEASE NEWS: The entire 200+ MB collection will be sent out for hosting once Anduril?s V-4 is in my possession.

It'll arrive eventually. Having only been asked last week about it I still need to ensure the rest get released.  I have a "Phase II" version, an "X" version and a few alternate's to what I've done already (livery wise, that is).....

KF why are you excluding TOS era FASA ships?  I am also interested in how to determine what era a FASA ships was designed for. I am working on the Romulan Q-1.  But the reference I have gives a startdate, not a year like 2263 for example. Thus I am not sure what era the ship falls into. I don't believe there is a significant difference in textures for Rommies between TOS and TMP either. They mostly appear silverish with a bird logo on the bottom.  I am frustrated in regards to textuing this Q1 as the only refernce pics I have are in grey. Have no view up the deflector and show no hull markings.  If anyone can help with reference pics not schematics. I need an idea of how the hull might look up close. Perhaps no hull details were penciled into these designs. I am reletivly new to FASA designs. SO if I am way off base here go easy on me.

I prefer TMP era ships that is why the majority of the FASA to SFC collection is TMP focused. Otherwise, this would be just another mod that keeps, growing and growing  that has everything in it. As it stands, I am trying to limit canon ships/bases to about 4 versions and in the case of non-Federation models, I include a limited number of  TOS/ early TNG versions just to balance the ship numbers per race out better.  I may need to consider removing the SFC1 versions and ALL the canon ships (not bases) to scale the mod down...

I will include the Q-1 once its released as the Romulans are woefully short on pre-TNG models.

 Its not a perfect collection but  somebody needs to archive this stuff before its lost again and I have chosen to specialize in TMP era ships.

you forgot my romulan V-9, the texture for it is nearly done but i can't find a basic hullplating layer that i could use for the texture
and i have a lower poly model of the Klingon D-20 for my Armada2 mod but wanted to add some more details for the SFC2 version like inmodeled impulse drives and hangars ....
and one question what should be the liberty class freighter don't know it from Armada, have never seen this in that game
and conversion from Armada to SFC should be no problem for me but this would take some time because i halep someone with modelling for his A2 mod
