It is indeed most excellent!

The immersion factor reminds me of how I felt the first time I installed and played SFC 1.

Be warned on some lower to mid end systems (like mine) extensive tweaking may be required!

(I was extremely unhappy until I fixed 90% of graphics, lag, and sound issues...)

It will definately require a patch or two to refine some rough edges, but I've already had several WOW experiences just like I did when I first played BF1942.

And the MODs for this game will be worth the price alone!

If you love BF1942 this is a must have - just give yourself a few hours to get used to the changes - a solid 85 out of 100 imho. (and that's a pre-patched rating)

Now if only I could pull myself away from it long enough to install UT2004...  Sigh...

Let us know about UT2004. I recently played UT 2: awakening, and loved that game. but I am so far behind on these games, I have no Idea which to grab.

It would be at least another Ten days before I can grab It, But I'd be more then willing to Give It a try. I heard though that there is no SP game, It's all mostly MP, which is fine with me, But I always liked SP first before I made a poor Example of myself W/ MP.

BTw Bro, Do you know If they have implemented That anti-cheat Software that Nanner Helped develope? I know It's in the latest Patch of BF1942

There will be SP, but whether or not it's in the retail version or will be added later is anybody's guess.

If not Nexa, I'm sure one of us vets could send you a copy. Heck, I gave out a brand new copy of BF1942 to a forum member who could not afford new games due to financial difficulties.
