these are atheorhaven's KBs for atrahasis's stuff. Rat boy did the fiction.

yup. here they are.. there might be a couple variants which ill add later, but for now, here are the initial pix of them.

first the kearsage:

Class: New Light Cruiser (NCL)
Designed and launched as a companion class of starship to the Constitution-class in 2244, the Kearsage-class was the first of a class classified as a "new light cruiser." Designed by Ray Olesen, this class borrowed its primary hull from the Saladin-class destroyer with some modifications. Although successful, the Kearsage was passed over for extensive modifications in the fleet-wide refits of the 2270s in favor of the Miranda-class.

Then the Chicago:

Class: New Heavy Cruiser (NCA)
When Starfleet considered construction of the new heavy cruiser, they narrowed their competing choices down to the Chicago and the Miranda-classes. The Chicago was at a disadvantage since it was based on existing technology rather than the new, improved technology that was about to be introduced with the Enterprise. The Chicago designers convinced Starfleet to build several units in the event that the new technology proved to be a failure. The spectacular success of the Enterprise in the V'Ger crisis spelled the end of the Chicago-class production run at only a few ships. Those few ships served until the 2290s when they were retired after the signing of the Khitomer Accords.

depending on work load i might post more pix later. the biggest difference is in the saucer and bridge sections.

'Kay guys.. first a big thanks to both Atra and Lord Schtupp. Without Atra's permission the other day, and Lord Schtupp's blanket permission, we'd not be seeing these now.

Second, this is still 95% Atra's original mesh. I only changed the bridge module at Nanner's suggestion with the one from Lord Schtupp's Connie. Which helps to provide a sense of scale I think.

The textures are a blend of Atra's, Lord Schtupp's, and my own.. but primarily theirs fitted onto Atra's mesh.

Giving Nanner these for a month, as per the Larson, before I release this for SFC 2, that way he has some more stuff not anywhere else..

For poly count, I think it's 3000-4000, but I'll have to check when I'm at home.. I'm typing this in at work.
