Don't know what scale it is but this is a working model of an axis Me 262. Great landing too! Imagine flying this up and down the neighbourhood, lol.

Thats great I didn't know that you could make jet engines small enough for a model plane.

That is too cool! I"d be afraid to land the thing. The pilot is good!

Very nice.  Call me when they start putting scale cannon on it.  I have some neighbors I'd like to 'show' it to.

I remember seeing a working scale model of an SR-7.  Now that was a cool RC plane.

I was thinking the same thing Seth, even though it can't have the 20 mm cannon for obvious reasons, a one shot 12 guage "cannon" would do the trick. Put some nice holes in the back and trunk of a dumbarse driver's car real quick!

Better yet, make a cargo plane model that can carry a couple of kilos, flying with their own guidance controls and at much lower altitudes than conventional aircraft, I could make a fortune selling those babies to the Mexican drug cartels. I'm sure they would love to get their hands on a Predator, complete with Hellfire missiles and all.

The thing is even the real planes slowed down due to the recoil of their armaments. If you were mad even to put real weapons on an RC plane you'd have to scale them down or the thing would end up going backwards!

You should see the RC stuff on ebay. I am planning to buy a RC plane or helicopter and remote camera. They have remote cameras that weight 6 oz and 2 mile range. You can get goggles to see what the camera sees. Imagine flying an RC with a VR type view via camera and goggles and 2 mile range.

They got some pretty cool RCs on Ebay, the Airwolf models would be cool!

Put semi auto .22 cals on it.  They would do fine on that kind of plane.

Not even that, a Beretta 92F, would be a good nose gun...

Set it up flat so you can can change ammo easier...

And the lighter weight would allow you to put in another one if the RC was big enough...

I wanted to try using one like the AH64's gatling gun...but the servos for that would be a pain to set up, and also make it easy to reload...

Hell if you get a big enough one, you can put the guns in the wings...

Have dogfights...

Now that would be cool! Install CO2 operated pellet machine guns in the nose (sort of like at the carnivals where you have to shoot the star out completely). Add video cam with a sight, and we could have some killer dogfights. Though if your cam got shot up, you are screwed.

Being a Navy brat, I lived by the ocean most of my younger years and built many models, wooden ships, etc... I always thought it would be cool to build an aluminum model with running engines and .22 cal main gun turrets and have them remote controlled. I lived in a bayou setting on the gulf so this would have been feasible. Or build a wooden sailing Man O War with .22 cal cannons, the only problem being reload devices. But wood is cheap and would have been great fun, especially with today's cheap electronics. I'd also install a mini flame thrower cannon, so if I got close enough to your ship I could set it afire, hehehehehehe.
