The main idea was to „create“ a fusioned race of Mirak and Lyran since both have same biological origin.
Identical DNA but different lifestyles and evolution isnt rare in the Star Trek Universe.
Vulcans and Romulans are the best example.
So how could a race benefit from a „fusion“?
Mirak offer drone capability, ls/rs dis arcs and good hull while Lyrans have the unique esg system and disruptor arc fx,2 shuttle bays plus good power curve with the „p“ refit.
Not to mention the pf tech for Lyrans and amazing drone chuckin fighters for Miraks.
The fusion between this two races unleashes a amazing power and new experience in many aspects.
Although the Mirak and Lyrans arent a peace loveing race,KzinLyr people like peace above war,but they are ready to defend the peace they live in.
Foreign aliens are welcomed but they dont want to be part of any existing empire. They dont fire 1st and try to gain „allies“ in this big unexplored galaxy. The Romulan Empire signed an exclusive contract with the StarLeague including tech and economical exchange.
This causes problems for other races – the Federation which was an ally of Mirak really wants to know bad what new tech and ships the KzinLyrs have......and so their so called „exploration with peace“ might cause a problem.
Top Secret Tactical File
The ships have a battle crusing speed above 20 to 25.Some might be able to travel faster,but not with all weapons armed.
After a alpha-strike the effective speed drops below 19 but stays above 15 in most cases.
I would say that a 20% speed increase was gained and the power curve is much more efficent on non-esg ships.The drone capacity was boosted and disruptors added,some arcs fixed.
Masterpiece of the KzinLyr technicans is the boosted BBX with 10 forward disruptors,power-pack refit and additional fighter support.
The selection of ships is quite narrow but the boosted ships are more than ready to fight if they need to.
Treaties
Tech exange was made with the Romulan empire.Although the new understanding of weapon-design was made on „old“ Mirak ships instead of Lyran – the Mirak ship hull is far more capable of weapon systems and has more hull boxes – new designs are on the way.
The Romulans
They gave the empire d-plasma racks for experimental designs,one result is the improved workhorse of the fleet,the MCCH.Only the best crews recieved the honor to test the d-plasma racks instead of common amd systems.
The KzinLyr licensed the new romulan designs and have the ability and resources to built the Shadow Fleet“. The backbone of the Shadow Fleet is the ShadowDancer – class DN. The tal shiar allowed only a narrow arced s plasma launcher but the rest of the ship is far advanced compared to other races dreads.
The ShadowRaven – class NCCH is another strong argument.
The only class with stealth device is the Hexfix – class frigate.It comes as esg armed FF or with heavy disruptor arment.
There is another wing of the soceity. While One part favors the Shadow Fleet and the Shadow Dancers, the other smaller wing decided to live as „Pirates“. In fact the pirate wing was raised by former Shadow Dancers because of the limited treaty to the romulans/tal shiar. They are much more idealistic and want to explore the galaxy more by their own will and capabilities. This explains why the „pirates“ have acess to all the research data and innovations like fighters.
The ship designs are limited to two hulls, but the arment is more than impressive and every pirate comes along with 2 wings of fighters at least. The pirate ships have a reinforced hull and good shielding. To be a pirate in the kzinlyr space means to be technically advanced compared to other known pirates.
The goverment doesent favor a single wing, both gather data and open new treaties for the whole empire
Refit/Upgrade/Innovation
Even less important systems recieved a refit/upgrade.Admin shuttels carry 2 mirv launchers and 3x ph3īs and disrupters.All KzinLyr ships have some kind of armour which gives the ship a longer breath in conflicts with direct hull hits.
The Saluki III fighters recieved a refit and are even more painful now.
The completly new StarFox - class fighter was developed.
The intelligence agency of the starleague „Shadow Dancers“ developed the heavy escort fighter codename „Hammer“ which only are stationed aboard the best crews and ships.
The SD organisation was able to trade some S plasma launchers and light cruser designs from the romulan tal shiar. The Romulans are considered as „friends“ and an alliance is very possible in the near future. All the police-fighter ships have a low power stealth device bu the tal shiar forbid to install the technology on bigger hulls.
ESG and more shuttle loads improve defensive and offensive power to never known standard.
Finally drones...... with more c and b racks with maxximum default reloads the race underlines ist drone loving roots.But drone manmanagement must been planned more carefully now.
HISTORY OF THE BREED:
Today the KzinLyr Starleague consists of 2 star-systems and has a population of 1.5 million citicens.
The birth of this small empire began in dark times where the breed was devided in two challenging tribes. The names of the tribes were Kzinti (Mirak) and Lyran. 19 starships stranded in a unkown edge of the galaxy. 9 Kzin and 10 Lyran ships. They found a habitable star-system and named it „Shadow Star“ Somehow some energy barrier with a spirit blocked all communications and no ship could escape. The spirit was called „Lux“ and both tribes were willing to follow the spirits orders.
Lux saw the unrest among the kzin and lyrans and looked for similarities.
The 19 most wise and noble were chosen by Lux and set as the „Noble 19“ and this 19 elected the voice and ear of Lux. Communication and the daily work on the planet brought the evil spirits to dissapear and so the capital of the starleague was built.Lux watched the advancement of his fellow children, he knew that instead of raging wars and negative emotions the love and joy for life and science would become the dominating and noble standards.
Through the wisdom and purity of Lux the small group of 1900 built the genetic base of the KzinLyr breed.
The new soceity soon began to „reproduce“ itself, the 1st generation of the breed was born 1 year after the landing on ShadowStar. Lux looked on his children and knew that he was right to enlighten the hearts and souls of this kind. The size and height was abit smaller than the average lyran or kzin, but the breed was blessed with high intelligence and body-powers. Every KzinLyr is able to fullfit nearly every kind of position as worker or scientist, warrior or spiritual –leader.
After 2 generations Lux gave the leader of the 19 a new vision: When the time has come, the breed will spread out in the galaxy and take its place amoung the known universe.
Shortly after this vision the planet „Luxor“ was completely hapitable and researched. The 19 stranded ships built the base of the orbital station and spacedock. Colony ships were built and the other 8 planets of the system were colonised.
This lasted another 10 decades.
Lux knew that very soon the breed could move out and explore the space. Through his visions he was able to transfer ship designs and specs into chosen designers, and so the flagship of the breed was built in 2 decades.Well, exactly 19 ships were produced. From BB own to FF class.
And then Lux opened the barrier and the exploration could begin...
This was another 3 decades ago.
The 1st contact with an alien race was made shortly after the colonisation of the 2nd Star System. Although the romulan ship atacked the police ships the contact still was succesful in the end. The flagship was only a few parsecs away and enforced the romulan vessel to „communicate“ – an immediate non agression treaty was the result and further communications followed.
The future is now.
