TOS Fed Varients

Did this design up in a couple hours today. The textures have more markings then shown, just made them too light.

Oh and Atolm say giver her a "V" neck and attach the necks to the sides of the saucer alcove that you have ...sorta like an invers of the saucer nacelle pylons, just swept

Kaenyne  I kinda embellished the truth when I said I did it up in a couple hours. I already had the pieces except for the saucer.

I took your pointer Azel and did the V shape hull support.  Still looks plain here but you get the idea I think.  Now I will just let it sit for a week, then come back to it. I will need to figure out where I might put a rear torp launcher. Perhaps 1 on each side of the secondary hull.  Name wise, it may be the Vicksburg.  Was planning on making the 2 nacel version into a BC

Thanks for the comments guys.

Hey two hours or otherwise, your stuff look really good!

Do you have a name for her yet? I had an idea that maybe this new class of ship could be named after goddesses from different pantheons.

Names like Isis, Pele, Vishnu and so on...

Goddesses?  Hmm, why not?  Here is another simple 1, but I like it. Sometimes simple is good.

What do you get if you combine the above designs?  This Jalopy. I am not a big fan of 3 nacels but not sure how else to evision a TOS DN class.

There are 3 ways to deal with the deflector on this last one. Either put it under the pod, or at front of saucer, or make a tunnel through the saucer and leave it on the secondary hull. That last one would be unpractical really, though it might be fun. What do you guys think?

Not sure which save that was. I save after every little change just in case computer crashes. So I get like 300 saves in a folder.      The saucer is very close to the original position with regard to the sec hull.  I did make the opening in the saucer wider and more U shaped instead of V.

Not planning on posting any updates till its all done.  I lose the wow effect by showing designs with half a** skins on em I think.  For example check on I_Mudd's U.S.S. Washington that he dropped out of the blue with no WIP thread. Thats a wow ship there.

the reason That I had asked was because...I felt that the saucer soud be moved further up(as is foward) so that the ship retains awesome sleekness and better proportion

There on the back burner perculating. I have been concentrating on texturing the original 1701, since the textures for that ship will make up most of the textures for these. Am spending much more time on these cause I want them to look nicer than my prior stuff. Frankly got a bit tired of working on ships,  These will need to be re bashed as most of the parts are from the 1701 and have been remapped.

Actually there are so many ships coming out now. I may just set these aside as I'd like to get my own game modded with some models that were recently released.

I just might do up 1 of these yet  If I can find them on my hard drive.   Then again  I'd rather someone else texture it so it gets a different flavor to it.  I could  get the mesh together in a couple days if anyone wants a stab at it.
