I went to the Black 9 forum to ask this, and then, to my amazement, found that I could not post...

Suddenly had a sinking feeling...

Is this bad news...or simply waiting longer?

February has come and gone and I was wondering when speculation might be when it will be done...

Will it be in a year...more than a year...

Some sort of general estimate...

Even, it's not done yet, and not really all that close, we had some problems that have cropped up and it will be done when it's done...

And of course, the other question that was burning...

Any guesses on a Demo?

As long as B9 is done with quality and is enjoyable...I think it doesn't matter how long it will take, just curious.

I just tried X2...and that game...well...playing with a joystick...it wasn't exactly the most friendly, and there have been far much better interfaces...I think the reviewers have been far to generous thus far...or maybe it's not my type of game...

But as long as Taldren avoids making a bad game like that...or makes one that is enjoyable, take your time...just wondering about any news from the battlefront of programming.

Since Black 9 is based on the Unreal engine and Unreal Tournament 2004 is to be released soon, maybe Black 9 is being delayed so that the game can be based on the newest game engine (and so that Unreal Tournament 2004 can be released first).

To lay any rumors to rest here is the scoop. There was a breakin at the offices and a group of thugs stole all the code and artwork. A witness describes a dark green 1969 buick with a partial Jersey plate reading E-A-T. The last three letter were unreadable.

Wow, that is interesting.  I didn't realize that people couldn't post.  I'm really wondering what's going on now, because someone had posted a link to the Majesco forums that had a moderator there saying that B9 had been moved "in house", although the thread with the link was deleted (or at least I couldn't find it again, and may not be able to find this post after a while ) here on the Taldren B9 forum.  Conversely though, I think Toasty said B9 was being rebuilt with a totally new graphics engine that will blow the socks off anything currently on the market (although there are several engines about to debut that make the same boasts).

Makes you wonder just what exactly is going on.

I thought Toasty was just teasing grave.

An engine among the likes of Doom 3, Half-Life 2, and Halo 2? Hmm...

Well, if that isn't the case (and I was kind of hoping it was), then we don't really have any positive news to go by then.  We only have a Majesco moderator saying it was moved in house, combined with the "locking" of the general B9 forum and disappearance of the other B9 forum.  ouch.
