I just re-read this book and I think it's an exellent read on Americas limited military involvement around the world.

If you've ever wanted to get an understanding of Americas "small" wars from the Barbary wars, Boxer rebellions, to Vietnam.

It spans the entire history of our nation and covers the entire specturm of presidents. It also offers some very insightfull analysis, without any political spin and doesn't read like a dry history textbook. Understanding the history of previous involvement gives you an exellent foundation for understanding future military actions.

LOL no Besides I've used a highlighter all over mine in addition to alot of notes in the margin.

It shouldn't be out of print. I got it not too long ago from my local Barnes and Nobel bookstore. Check out the reviews on the amazon site and if it interests you it should be available at your local bookstore.
