SENSE OF HUMOR ALERT:

Redragon,

This looks realy cool.

Then again, you are the kind of model maker that if you make a "kitchen sink" for SFC people will drool over it. LOL

Any plans on making any equally cool TMP era Adversaries?

Thanks for sharing this with us.

I was trying to compare my version with the one from the pic and came out with this...   As you can see there are a few things that aren't right... most noticably, how far up the nacelles are and the placement of the bridge. I tried changing it but it didn't look very good... kinda turned out ugly so I might just keep it the way it is...

She looks great I cant wait to see her done, btw are those the only two, nx and intrepid or was there another i forgot but i think there were 3 ships, do you think after this one is done you can try the other, i dont want to rush you or anything, its that the only ENT ship out there is the NX, it would be nice to see others like sulibans, better vulcans, and the klinks too
thanks, great job

I really like this design, excellent model! I wouldn't worry too much about being 100% accurate

I was attempting a much more amateur kitbash of the NX in attempts to make my own Intrepid which can be seen here:  http://flareupload.pleh.net/uploads/968/nacelle.JPG (You have to paste the link into a new browser)  it has its obvious flaws but overall I thought I was doing alright for my first kitbash...or model for that matter.  But I guess since a more professional once is being constructed I might as well close up shop on mine.

Personally, I'd recommend not giving up.

How do you expect to improve otherwise?  Can't say that I know anyone here that doesn't have some question about their skills here..

(btw, also found these links for the Intrepid)..

What a WICKED ship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Is it going to be for SFC3 or for SFC2 and OP?  If you are going to have it for SFC3, I was wondering if you would mind if I used it in my upcoming Mod?  Check out the post  here  to find out more about my Mod.

Thanks,

One thing I've noticed with yours here (and in developing my own) is that your nacelles are far too skinny.   They are much larger in perspective to the vessel than say the nacelles of the NX are to the NX.  Think more like the way I have them set up on mine (the only thing I think I've gotten right so far).

Anyway, that's my thoughts.

I'm lookin at it and I think your right... it does look kinda skinny for a ship with a width like that, hmm maybe I'll make it a bit bigger, problem is width of the nacelle right now is in porportion with the length of it... meh, I'll make it a bit longer...  Yours look pretty nice too... I just don't have a clue what you did with the outside wing.

the wings on the outside of the nacelles?  I made those from scratch stretching out a simple box - stretched and skewed.  Since there are so many angles of the ship available you can get a feel of their position (as in how far they are below the saucer, that they appear to extend to a position nearly parallel to the width of the saucer, positioned the front line of the wing with the back line of the pylons and so on),  I feel what I got as a a result feels rather accurate.

Otherwise, the Intrepid seems to be an older model Starfleet vessel (pre-Warp5) and therefore has different nacelles because of that.  In fact to make the ones I have on my Intrepid was to use those of the NX and expand the width and height of the nacelles (not the length) by 130% (arbitrarily chosen) of normal size.

Hehe, thanks guys, but the ship is done... done 3 days ago hehe, just too lazy to post the finished pics. I'll keep you updated on its transition to SFC though but more than likely won't be for a few weeks to a month.

Hello Red Dragon. I haven't seen you hanging around for some time... It's nice to have you back man... Your Intrepid looks quite good. The saucer is impressive (Akyazi, Arbiter Perimiter Action vessels have the same configuration) Keep it up
