Awesome Wallpaper - Image Heavy

I found this pic on the SciFi-Meshes.com website.

I changed the size of the pic to 1280 so that the whole pic would show
on my desktop.

If you guys get the chance you really should check out the gallery there
because they have some bad*ss pics there.

Why does that soveriegn have Galaxy class nacelles though?

Because it is a Galaxy.   The disk is round not oval as in the Soveriegn.

Hmmm, I think your right, but then the rear of the primary hull is more of a Sovereign shape and a Galaxy doesn't have swept nacelles like that. I guess it's a hybrid. Cool though.

I think you are correct about a hybred, I had not noticed the lower hull. Would that mean that we are both right?

Yeah, I noticed that also but I think it's a combo of the 2 ships. Everything on it
looks like a Galaxy except the bridge and the impulse engines look like they are
from a Sov.  

EDIT: Also, the pylons connecting the engines to the hull look like they are from
a Sov.

Yeah I'd go with that. Deffinatly a hybrid, looks too smooth for a simple kitbash.

Kinda makes me wonder what other hybrids would be worth seeing. I've always thought an Excelsior/Intrepid hybrid would be attractive.

That's why I always liked the Enterprise C as it was a real smooth transition between TOS movie ships and the Galaxy class. The Soveriegn was great but it was a bit of a jump from the Galaxy, (sort of made the Galaxy look a bit outdated).

Because it is a Galaxy.   The disk is round not oval as in the Soveriegn.
