You should ask how many people use laptops or desktops..
.. or how many people have a LAN at home (or wireless for that manner)..
.. or the size of the monitor..
or if it's an LCD monitor or not..
etc..

you know instead of all of these Polls, It might be better to just have everyone run a belarc , on the systems they want too share.

It would Probably cause you abit more time seperating the systems, But at least You would get a better Spectra of PC's.

I would like to point out that games will ONLY USE 1 PROCESSOR UNLESS SPECIFICALLY WRITTEN TO USE MORE!!!

True.  But then again the other programs you may have running don't slow you down as much because they can run on the other CPU.  For example your firewall, comms program etc.  Not to mention that most crashes that lock up a single CPU computer can be handled without rebooting because the OS using the other CPU can stop the program that has locked one CPU up tight.  So dual CPUs do help even with programs not optimized for them.

Also as games programers adapt to the P4s hyper threading the extra threads can be run on the 2nd CPU and or the hyperthreading module or both depending on how many threads they add.

I might also point out that clock speed doesn't really mean as much as it used to, when comparing Athlon XP's with Pentium 4's.

I disagree....espically when a 2GHz Athlon XP can kick the snot out of a 3GHz P4
