Off to a good start.

Recommendations for fine tuning your concept:

You might want to tweak the sequence of play so that its not pretty much a   Magic: The Gathering   clone. I like the junk yard concept, lol. You are on to something though, keep going with it.

Total Cards  less than 300; I have been working on a [non-Trek related] card game or two with 100 cards tops that are playable in 20 minutes or less with no accounting.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

Do you mean keep the total number of cards in a deck under 300?

The total pool of cards IMHO should be under 300 cards.

Otherwise you'll end up with GASP, another Dechiper Trek CCG  or even MTG.

Richard Garfield wanted MTG and games in general to be as popular as sports but who is going to pay $500 on a SINGLE chess peice? IMHO, I really don't want to thumb through another set of 1,500 cards ever again...

Besides it will hone in on the important and unique aspects of your game mechanism. You can always revise the *final* card set once its been play tested.

I hope this is constructive crticism I really do think you are on to something here.

I honestly doubt there can be a limit to the number of cards. Think about it. I have 7 races. I want to do most canon ships from TMP onwards, plus characers, and planets, and not only that, but i want to do Non-Canon ships as well. Again, the more ships that come out in the community the more ships im gonna be able to make. 300 is far too few to do all that in

But thanks for your support

Stations, Characters, etc.
Example: President Reson, if you Pay 3 Credits, Tap Him, you get 5 Prestige.
there will be other places where you can get resources. they will be out eventually
