Using the DroneG as an ADD
« on: February 19, 2004, 06:47:08 pm »
Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, but I've got SFC2 and I'm not quite sure how to use the DroneG racks as ADDs. Could you fellas help me? Thanks.

your droG (what you see) is for offense. you should have a seperate hard point for a seperate AMD (ADD) rack.

you, however, can target missiles and fire your missiles at them.

Taldren did not implement the G racks like in SFB. They made G racks identical to A racks, and as Nanner stated you get an actual ADD-6 for free for each.
A BPV bump equation was later implemented to balance it out as some ships (F-NEC, K-AD5) were really out of whack.

Well...... is there a way to add an ADD in Shipedit? When I add a DroneG there's no ADD.

You have to add the ADD-6 seperately. It's not automatically included.

If you look down the shiplist you'll notice every ship with a G-rack has an equal number of ADD-6 to go along with it.

Ok, but how do I add the ADD? The weapon selection menu seems to lack the ADD.

It's there.
Under Seeking Weapon: Has a triangular logo with either the letter A or B next to it.

Look at an existing ship to see for yourself what it looks like.

This is what I see. Don't see the triangular icon of the ADD....

I've got Shipedit v3.02. Is that the newest one?

You need the beta, V 3.99 for OP. Just remember if you use it for EAW , not to add any OP weapons to EAW ships.
