Topic: Cardassian Galor Type 3

Ok I just finished watching Star Trek: The Next Generation "Ensign Ro" on Spike TV, and I was watching the part towards the end when the galor type 3's moving into attack range against the bajoran vessel, then I saw the galors fire a pulse weapon, almost seemed like a yellow phaserish color disruptor pulse, wierd, and I also noticed that the weapon array in the front was yellow and not red like in DS9, can anyone shed some light into this, I was under the impression that the had no torpedoes or pulse weapons, just phasers, now I see this episode and this is wierd, now I know what you guys are going to say, its the damn star trek writers, they always do boo boos and stuff, but this episode is before DS9 Dominion Wars, so which is the real thing, or maybe the type 3 has other weapons and the types 1 and 2 have phasers, any ideas, thanks guys

That was the second time they showed the Cardassians and first for the Bajorans.  Even by season 2 of DS9, 2 years later, they were still inconsistant and at one point described the Galors with having 'disruptors' on their ships, and another in season 2 had DS9 shooting a green beamed phaser.  Screw ups like that happen all the time and it really seems rather irrelivant to scrutinize something so petty and really rather easily overlooked for something that was never firmly established and were vfx'd as deemed fit.  Galors have photon torpedoes, and phasers and its likely that the type-3 is just the best of the best (like Riker said) and they are just equipped with an alternative type of phaser or disruptor.

Well the Fact Files reffered to their main weapons arrays (the big red square on the front of the Galro as a 'Spiral Wave Disrutpor) and the Dominion War sequences were very flaky with the VFX even depicting Klingons as having green phasers.

The klingons have always had green disruptors...be in the broken beam or the solid beam type.

well the vorchas have green and the ktinga refits have red, well thats what i remember, thanks for all the info,

Hmmm
For Cardassian i have Phasers as a Primary Weapon and Plasma's as a Heavy Weapon, but then again, this is the FoaS version of Trek.
