Thu11s style Gorn HDW: Heavy Battle Destroyer

Continuing with the tradition of sharing what I put together myself, here's the Gorn HDW, the Heavy Battle Destroyer:

.. it's basically a BDD, stretched out a bit, with larger warps. This slight difference does make it visually recognizable from the BDD, and thus is a worthy addition to my mod. (work in progress)

the JGP and the H-HDW are getting attention.. so I'd like to move this one up the list at least once, just in case.

Just assume you are making quite a few of us happy. I, myself, really like it when I can have a good model to represent a given class of starship. Although I didn't go with Feral's Gorn I archived it none the less. I might change my mind later.

For the sake of curiosity, have you come up with something to differentiate the Kzinti DN and BB? That one sticks in my craw. I tend to think that the stock ZDN would serve for the BB and have a trimed down ZDN kitbash to play the dreadnought. The Kzinti models play a little large anyway.

The Mirak have always been a problem. My current concern is differentiating the Z-DD/DW/HDW ..
.. and yeah, the Z-BB/DN is another issue. .. However, I'm not going to openly volunteer doing those because I am trying to continue in my project (and happen to be sharing my work) ..  .. not fix the Mirak.

Understood. But thanks to your efforts and many others we are closing in on a complete model library for the whole family of SFB classes. That Kzinti DN-BB distinction may be well served soon enough as Kreeargh (I think it's Kreeargh) was working on a series of compatable Mirak models.

Anyway, I thank you for sharing your efforts. BTW, what programs are you using to kitbash and fix break models? If it is Milkshape then perhaps some of us could volunteer to help with that project. That would certainly be more useful than another useless fantasy starship that no one really needs.

On a side note... I wonder if we could get some interest in a set of X-frigates for each race. I don't think those have ever been done. I also kind of wonder why there seems to be no such thing as a CLX for anyone. Surely there was second generation X light cruisers wasn't there? I bet 111Wallace111 could do a ubangy job on those... just writing out loud here.

.. X1 ships are upgraded normal ships.. so.. the same model would be used.
