Punisher Scott got the installation software for the Extigy. I'll put them up for auction ASAP. Thank you again!

I also updated the donors page. Thanks to everyone for their help!

Exellent...make sure he doesn't lose the CD because while you can download updated drivers on the creative website you have to have the drivers installed from the CD first.

It's a little quirky to get it to run correctly on a windows XP installation...I'll email you some directions so you can pass the info along.

I just got an email from Scott/VladThImpaler that he put his mom's site back up. For those that dont know, Scott's mom let his sister use her credit cards and she ran up an ungodly debt. Now she wont pay and Scott's mom, who draws disability, cannot pay them off. Scott started one of those "cyberbegging" sites to try and help her.

Anyway, I know some of the guys on here were concerned and I thought Id let them know whats going on. Here's the email I got.

I'm glad he put up an address, I cannot do anything until Mar 1st when I get my next VA disability payment. My next two charity gifts will be him (I fully expect his mom to QUIT allowing the family to use her like that), and we also have Talon Claw who's wife will be losing her job and his daughter will be entering college. As most of us have some college or college degrees, we all know the costs keep going up and up. I cannot use paypal or pay electronically as I'm currently in Mexico for health care until I can get into the El Paso VA system while I'm here, and I do not trust my info going through Mexican servers.

Thanks guys. No, my aunt isnt going to let anyone use her cards. Scott talked her into cutting up most of them, well all except one. That one is to be used only in emergencies. Scott's also took over her finances. She's moved in with him. He's still working three jobs. All minimum wage, but it is keeping them at bay. Well except for CitiBank. They are going to court.

Sort of an update. I talked to Scott late last night and he asked me if I could help him out with the website. He doesnt have alot of time to keep it updated. One of the things he wanted to do was add a money saving tips page. I couldnt help but think, well we have alot of brainpower on Taldren, so if any of you guys, or gals, have some tips I might add to the site post them here or PM me.

Not really a money saving tip Will, But Something I would like you to pass on to Scott If you would Please.

The thing is, And Money is tight for everyone , But he and his mother need to allocate at least $100.00 a month each for themselves. They need this For there own Mental health, as much as anything. Here's two examples for you my friend...

Case #1) Myself and family. I make sure that I allocate some money each month for nothing else but the Internet. This allows me to stay in touch with all of you guys, Give's my wife time to play Slingo, and Bingo online (shudder), and generaly helps our own sanity In the long run.

Case #2) My sister in law has had a string of Bad luck also, Her (Now Ex for financial reasons) Husband is in a Nursing home, and she is raising two adopted children by herself. the kids attend a Private school, and her church has stepped up to help cover the after school expenses.

She used to get her nails done once a month, but felt that she should stop, since the Church was paying for her kids After school care. The thing Is I asked her , what Besides that, does she do each month, that relax's her, and Is pleasant for her.

Her answer was Nothing. Don't get me wrong I completely understand her point about saving the money for her kids, But she needs that outlet once a month also to Just have her own time.

If I come up with anything else, I'll mention It too you Will.

Thanks Stephen. Scott and his mom are using every spare penny they can get to pay the bills. This just barely covers the interest rates on the credit cards. They have tried to negotiate with the credit companies to lower the interest rates, but since they are paying I dont think the companies are interested. None of the cards are less than 21.99% APR. They are really hard up.

Thank you msnevil. Scott and his mom appreciate it. I appreciate it too.

Did you check out the updates? I added two pages to his site. I didnt really get the special interests page finished, but my aunt wanted me to get something up. I only got one missing kid on there, but I'll add more later.

Thanks again.

Have Scott try some programs like this if he  hasn't already"

http://www.debt-settlement-inc.com/

I know nothing about these people, but it seem like something to try.  Companies like this call me virtually every day since several fraudulent credit cards were opened in my name.  (I don't owe any of the money, but obviously the fact that I once looked as if I did is still in someone's records.)  This program looks more promising than most.  (Again, I have had no first-hand experience here; I can offer no endorsement.)

In the meantime, I'll see if I can send something.

Thanks Scipio, I'l tell him. I just hope it isnt like most of the other debt stettlement companies. They are employed by the credit card companies. Two of the cards are beyond any settlement arbitration though. They are going to court.

It really steams me to see that the person who took all that aid refuses to contribute atleast a little bit back.
Mismanagment or not somebody has thier priorities mixed up.  It's a shame how much somebody hurts when they were beng generous.

I'll check with teh wife and see how much we can contribute.  Debt sucks but, debt caused by somebody else really hurts.

Agreed, but I hate to turn my back on someone, even if I do not like the situation. God blessed me, I can always return what was given to me. I may be on limited income, but I am much more careful with money now than in my younger days, then again are not we all?
