Virus scan

Da-mut!

I just did a scan and found not 1 but 2 bytecode-verify virus attcks on my system. I guess allowing others to use my system is too kind...

It's some jerk writing a nasty bit of keyboardrd stroke logger usually in java.

I didn't pass it along to my frined to verify it though so I could be wrong. It is bad news though.

Hey NJ, is AVG any good? I was just at the website and downloaded the free version (I like free. Free
is good).

Works for me and the best part is as you said, it is free. It won't automatically update and updates seems to be about once a week, so for light duty (not many downloads or e-mails) it does just fine.

Well, mine auto-updates. I'm running AVG 7, and it gets updates every other day or so.

NJ, thanks man. I took it for a test spin and it seems pretty good. The interface and
graphics are ugly but hey I don't need pretty I need something that works.

Later on I'm gonna go download a virus and really test it out.

EDIT: Okie dokie, downloaded a virus to test it. It didn't catch it while I was
downloading it but it did find it when I had the program scan the folder that
the file was in. Pretty groovy. I think I'm gonna keep AVG. Thanks NJ for telling
me about it.
