ATTN: SFC2OP

I have been thinking something for a while now, lets say I want to give my galaxy class starship 4 phaser 4's for the dorsal phaser array on the saucer section; I want to be able to to let it fire fromn several locations on that array, I remeber long ago I asked about damagepoints, and the way the person told me it worked was that when the enemy fires on you which every hard point is nearest to the incoming fire, will be activated, so lets say if a put 5 hardpoints, all the same name lets say hardpoint12 on the phaser array on the saucer section in different locations, will it fire from the nearest one pointing at the ship????

Hope yah will understand lol thanks guys

going to try it also for sfc3 dont have sfc2, only probelm i can think of is that milkshape that i use will not let you make more then one hardoint with same name, but a program called cv will i belive. going to try it and see what happends when i fire phasers.

milshape would only let me save one hardpoint as each name could not do more then one with same name, however cv would, used the akira model, made 4 hardpoints on each side with same name ie hardpoint1 and hardpoint2, put them all along the phaser strip frount to back, and tried it in game, well they only fired from the frist in line of the hardpoints, they never fired from the others, so i guess it does not work in sfc3 , bummer that would of been a neat trick to do.
