Alright 5 ships here.

Well the first one in the Frontier, Yup do not pass go this one is a conversion from BC.
Thanks to USS Phoenix, and Khalee for making this one possible.

The next two were released in another thread, so that means most of you never looked there! anyways these two are based on the Enterprise B (the one released for SFC 3 and works in EAW/OP as well) by Pneumonic81 all the SFC 3 things are missing but if you copy the textures into his release for SFC 3 they will work fine.

The one above has two different types in there. One of the difference is there are two textures for the saucer one with the secondary warp engines the other hangers in there places. The other features is the 2 types of textures for the warp engines also the ones from the other Blue Excelsior can be used.

Then we get to this guy the newest version to the DNH crowd.

Enjoy!

They can all be found  here!

I have two more Federation Ships to do textures for, then I have the Lantree, and if the issues are resolved the Saratoga. After that I have the WIPs for the Romulans and The Terran Empire (Mirror Universe) to do. I have no Kligons in the works yet, but that doesn't really mean anything.

Yes I know they are not named Lantree or Saratoga.
The reason is those names are already available at the site under the addition registries on the second page bottom. I always make more so you can extend your fleet with the existing models simply by changining the name and making it the new class. Also comes in handy if the name of the ship you are in matches one too, nice to see the ship and name screen match (yes I cheat by making a registry for the name the ship was generated with).

i got the miranda class without the megaphaser and torpedo pod from another site, but still good

i discover a problem with the fdefiance, take a close look at the pylon that hold the torpedo on the saucer from the back and you will see there a problem with it, the pylon is damage during the construction of the ship

If you are talking about the lower one I fixed that by removing it via a texture change. On the Other one yes I saw that it is one of the things about Kitbashing you are stuck using avaiable parts, when you add higher textures to them the flaws come out quicker. On the defiance you really have to look for it, it is well hidden the only way to fix it would be to move the pod down but then it fires into the saucer, so I left it alone. DarkMatrix did the actuall ships I just did the textures, and placed them up for download. All in all I still think they came out nice, and if my modelling skills ever develope past minor alterations I will fix those errors.

Just d/l them from the site!  How do you find the time to do the art man?
BTW the Alexander in schweeeeet.  But I wonder what about extending the secondary hull out about 15-20%, lowering the central support about two or three decks and doubling the width.  I figure this would go along with adding to the structural support and doing away with the little pod thingies.

Sorry it's me again.  About the Enterprise-B retex.  What about turning the outer pair of impulse engines into fighter bays??
I think this could be used and make the ship into a quality light or stike carrier.
Once again though outstanding work on the retex of all the ships.

Actually one of the textures in that file turns them into Hangers/Shuttle bays. Because of the limitations of the texture guy it uses the same texture for both hanger doors.

Hey Cap, love the work!

Gotta FYI for you if you're the author of the Excelsior engine retex and/or the LP Excelsior retex:

If you view the models ingame (NOT in model viewer), the portside "grillwork" on both engines does not match that of the stbd. side.

This is also the case for one of the other alt tex engines downloads for the excelsior, but I don't remember which one.

If this skin is yours I hope you can fix sometime, it's one of my favorites...

The problem is in the light map, the fdn5i.bmp file. Basically the one for that ship is the wrong one.

It is the same light map I made for the Banting, not the one that was meant to go into the Heavy Carrier, Niskalaukaus, and Excelsior file. It is easily correctable as i has the correct ones in my game folder ships.

Thanks for bringing thsi to my attention I will fix it and post it later tonight.

Alright the fix is done and uploaded.

So the Niskalaukaus, Excelsior, and Heavy Carrier are all done.

Well, I've been reading this thread and saw the posts regarding the engine texturing fixes.

I admit I'm a little confused as to exactly which Excelsior models got the fixes. The Niskalaukaus is obvious, but I need your help, Captain! I can't remember which one is the LP Excelsior and which one is just the retex Excelsior. And the Heavy Carrier is the three-nacelled Excelsior retex, correct?

And if possible, could you send the the new texture files, as redownloading all these models would take me some time on a 56k connection.

I would greatly appreciate it, Captain!

A very confused Kaenyne!

it is the one that is called excelsior class (the P81 one) and yes i can send the texture to you. it is actually simple to fix if you want to try it. go to the fdn5i.bmp texture, and open it in paint. Fill the the white boxes above the the engines top glow to black. that is it.

I will send the file to you though just in case.

That would be great!

Juist to be clear, this file will replace the fdn5i.bmp file for ALL of these ships?
