The battle music in OP* when they're assembled into their three single tracks are really nice.
The OP* fed theme, when assembled, is absolutely perfect; It brings out a kind of wanderlust, (like greensleves or ultima's stones) an idealistic culture, and an undercurrent of strength/courage all in one.
SFC 1's mp3s definately have the better klingon and romulan themes; The OP* version of the klingon theme got that soviet-industrial feel, but left out that essential current of barbarity that made the SFC1 klingon themes so... well... Klingon. The OP* klingon attack theme might be better, but I haven't assembled it yet.
I haven't assembled the OP* rom theme yet, so I don't know about it, but the SFC1 mp3 is very, very romanesque. Very nice.
OP* Pirate's theme is about the most swashbuckly theme i've ever heard; I'm tempted to throw it into my Age of Sail 2, Privateer's Bounty music collection and sail once more in a British overweighted 6th rater for King and Country.
The gorn, lyran and hydran themes all sound suitably alien, and therin lies their problem: They don't evoke anything in my mind, and thus don't have the staying power as the themes mentioned above.
*EAW may have the same music as OP, but I'm not certian as to this. OP's music is in a zip file labeled, unsuprisingly, music.
Cats enjoy music quite well due to their large, cute ears,
