I am looking for some good music for a "web-jukebox" over on battleclinic, I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the direction of the best SFC soundtracks

The SFC3 ones, are a bit boring

The battle music in OP* when they're assembled into their three single tracks are really nice.

The OP* fed theme, when assembled, is absolutely perfect;  It brings out a kind of wanderlust, (like greensleves or ultima's stones) an idealistic culture, and an undercurrent of strength/courage all in one.

SFC 1's mp3s definately have the better klingon and romulan themes;  The OP* version of the klingon theme got that soviet-industrial feel, but left out that essential current of barbarity that made the SFC1 klingon themes so... well... Klingon.  The OP* klingon attack theme might be better, but I haven't assembled it yet.

I haven't assembled the OP* rom theme yet, so I don't know about it, but the SFC1 mp3 is very, very romanesque.  Very nice.

OP* Pirate's theme is about the most swashbuckly theme i've ever heard;  I'm tempted to throw it into my Age of Sail 2, Privateer's Bounty music collection and sail once more in a British overweighted 6th rater for King and Country.

The gorn, lyran and hydran themes all sound suitably alien, and therin lies their problem:  They don't evoke anything in my mind, and thus don't have the staying power as the themes mentioned above.

*EAW may have the same music as OP, but I'm not certian as to this.  OP's music is in a zip file labeled, unsuprisingly, music.

Cats enjoy music quite well due to their large, cute ears,

Holocat.

I always thought the opening music for SFC I was by far the best... reminiscent of the (early) movie series music in a way that the other scores in the series just weren't.  Has that kind of majestic yet vaguely ominous feel, with the horns, and the snare drums giving it that military kind of urgency.

Not that I can help you get it onto the site.  Unless humming it really loud would help.

The opening music of which empire?  Or all of them?  Do you mean the introduction music in the intro movie, the music that is played in the strategic screens, or the introduction music that plays at the beginning of the mission?

I will admit that the SFC 1 federation music has a more martial beat, but if you have EAW/OP, you should really assemble the flt wav that makes up the EAW/OP federation battle music;  I should say that in my opinion it is better, being, 'fuller' in how it paints the federation.

Cats generally detest loud noises, unless its associated with food,

You know, my cat will do the exact opposite;  If it hears a growl, mrowl or howl, it will instantly home in on the signal and investigate, growling like a tiger several times it's size.  If it hears a doorbell or kitcheh accident in the making, however, it takes cover.

I guess being a wild breed my cat likes a good cat fight like any other, though not quite up to buglar deterance level quite yet.

I am cat hear me roar,
