Some Thanks, General Thoughts, OP:TNG

No I'm not leaving.

I was thinking about the loads of fun I've been having recently in Bridge Commander Multiplayer and remembered back to where my PC gaming fun started - Starfleet Command.  I just wanted to say thanks to Taldren and the SFC Community for sort of gettting me to where I am today. Although I do 99% BC now, I have not forgotten where I 'started', so to speak. It is not that I enjoy SFC and less, it's just that theres only so much time in one day. I look now at what Pelican's Dominion Wars and Nanner's Generations Mod are doing and am amazed. But I have to confess something. I was a big advocator of TNG Trek gaming.. which is why there there are TNG Mods for EAW and OP. After I had completed and released the final version of the TNG Mega Mod for SFC3 I was offered the chance to be on a mod team for another game (BC) with some definite goals for the future, and jumped at it.

Regarding SFC3, I didn't embrace that game like I did EAW and OP because BC was kicking my door down begging for new maps and multplayer scenarios. I  find now that spend a good portion of my PC time in a python shell edting a hardpoint or a new system map for BC, or in the case of this weekend, I am hosting a big Multiplayer Festival with something called the Multiplayer Mod pack, and combining it with the recent Multiplayer maps i've made for the game. Details are on http://www.bcfiles.com.

I also find that when I do play SFC, it tends to be OP and not SFC3 - and it's difficult to say why - perhaps because I am spoiled by BC graphics and the SFC like functions now available for that game so it seems that SFC3 is not as good or something like that. Not sure.. Multiple installs of SFC3 are still on my hard drive.

I remain a member of SFC3 Files and will upload anything anyone would like there.

Actually, it is not limited to SFC3 - SFC1, EAW, and OP Files on there as well - so if you've no place else to host something, give me a jingle.

Is there any interest in a single file version of the TNG Mod for OP?

Heck Chris, You will always be a welcome respite here. Your radio station alone Brings much joy to our ears.

Don't sweat It man, you can't stretch yourself too far. Take care of RL first, BC Second If that's where your Needed, and SFC third.

Your one of the Best people here on the forum.
