Didn't see anything about the keyboard other than the standard commands...problem I have is when I use a standard command (z for fire), I get an error message....Why it works on initial install, but not afterward????

I like using the keyboard..I think it's faster than the mouse...the mouse commands work, but I have to think about them.

Thanks,

Mike

I just noticed that yo said you used Norton...

Ok.. try this.. uninstall OP, delete the game folder

turn norton off

reinstall SFC OP, patch with 2500 to 2552 patch

re-enable norton if you like..

Check your desktop shortcut to make sure it is pointing to the StarfleetOP.exe game file and the target directory is pointing to the install directory of OP.

Try game..

see if this works..

Hmm, Dave Ferrel had the answer for this wone, can't remember what he told me.  I think however, if you alt-tab out, and then go back into the game, you might have some luck?

Try running it from the exe instead of a shortcut if you haven't already.

That was for SFC2 though and not the expansion, but it might work.

To make it easy - find your OP installation folder (the default is C:\Program Files\Taldren Software Inc\Starfleet Command Orion Pirates), find the file called StarFleetOP.exe, select and copy it, then select your desktop, right click and "paste as a shortcut" on the desktop, run the game from this shortcut and you should be fine.
