Topic: Just thought "StarShip Creator" What else is it or could be good for

I was pondering, wondering, just maybe kinda sort maybe,

BUT,

I have Starship Creator, and i was just wondering if the ships that you can build in there can be used in
SFC I II OR OP.

OR,

Is that just it, you create a ship and then it plays a mission on its own and then its over, if  you can't export a ship you have created in Starship Creator, then i don't see what kind of game or what evr it is, i mean you spend the time creating a ship and it can't be used anywhere else ????

hmmm that a good question, i have try that game but i don't know if there alctuly any 3d format in it or its just an image, the game it self is a little boring you can't mixt part from other race and the graphic is not very good.

I believe it uses something like VRML, which honestly, looks like crap in game. I doubt it would be worth it.

i think it can be modded but that will requiare haking and acompleat overholl of the entier program not to mention adding the 3d plugins requaierd for creating 3d models in sevrall games not just in sfc , that IMO is to much work for a kitbather factory
but if it is done corecly with the posobylity of ading new parts that culd worth it

yeah that is what i was thinking, But it never hurts to ask questions,

But that would be great if you could use that to build your own ship, then import it to SFC I, II, or III

And yes it is very boring, i got all hyped up when i first got it, i was cool, i can build my ship anyway i want to and so,
then i see what happens after im done, and BUMMER, anyway was just wondering.

My understanding is that the original intent was that you could export ships into the Dominion Wars game. This was all before SFC came out and you could just create your own ships in 3D programs. Unfortunately, both Dominion wars and Starship Ceator seem to be a waste of money.

I... well, my kids... were recently (very recently) given a copy of Dominion Wars.  Now they've played SFC among other things and I see that Dominion Wars is still SEALED and the box gathering dust.  Nice looking box art, though.  Besides, I hear we SFC types can download our very own Dominion War mod!
