Dear Taldren,Ladies and Gentle Gamers,If I may be permitted to ask the second question of my original Post,again? Does anyone know or can anyone find out if Activision or Paramount have managed to settle their legal differences,yet? Who won the dispute? Last I checked, both sides were waiting for a court hearing. Which will most likely rule in favour of Viacom/Paramount and order Activision to pay a huge sum of money for breach of contract. The good news is that it will then free up all of the Star Trek Franchises. Not sure about SFC3 though, I believe as the games original publisher, Activision still possesses all of the rights to the game, even though they clearly want nothing to do with it. Which I guess means that even if the lawsuit is settled, Activision would still have to approve an official patch. Hopefully they'll just give Taldren permission to do it themselves...

Two weeks its been longer than that, on this little spat. And I dont belive that Activision really needs to wait for the suit to be settled myself to ok the patch. They are just being Jerks about it.

Look we have explained how this patch stuff works, Activision could release the patch today if they wanted to. they dont.

Taldren has no control over that part, its all on Activisions back whether to release or not, and since they are still in a legal disput with Paramount and others they will not release it. They are being jerks about it. You need to bug Activision.

Sweet good to hear the patch hasn't been abandoned ah since over a year ago.

Dear Taldren,Activision,and Ladies and Gentle Gamers,I know this will be at least the third time that I've asked this question. And,I really,humbly,apoligize for being a Nag. However,It has been at least half a year ago since the people of this Forum,myself included,have recieved any type of information about how the Official S.F.C.III Patch is doing or when we can even hope to down load it. We don't even know if Activision and Paramount have even settled their legal differences,yet. I think that it is ridiculous that after all this time some kind of information either about the Official S.F.C.III Patch or the resolution of the legal differences between Activision and Paramount can't be assertained by someone and reported to this Forum. I would humbly appreciate current information on either the status of the S.F.C.III Official Patch or Activision's and Paramount's legal battle by anyone in a position to glean such information and report it to this August Forum. I'm just making an educated guess, but I would imagine that Activision don't care about SFC anymore and thus they aren't prepared to use any resources in the production of an "official" patch. I wouldn't worry - Taldren have a history of supporting their games to the bitter end. It may not be stamped as official by Activision, but what does that matter?
