can someone help?

I just set up a home network using a belkin EtherFast Cable/DSL Router, which is really cool. But, I can seam to find away to play on-line games, Can someone help at all??  when i try to join the test host go's 90 secs 60 secs etc and doesnt start

Disclaimer: I don't have a router or cable modem at home.

But, in other threads I believe some ports have to be opened for internet gaming. The router's firewall/security may be blocking necessary ports.

Do a search of the forum and see if you can find anything out.

Have a read through the network and multiplayer readme located in sfc3dir/help/docs or under the sfc3 group in the start menu, it lists which ports need to be opened, and examples for a few models.
