There are two people to thank on this one... I just cobbled together the pieces.  p81 for the original work, Mackie for the original Galahad kb (and for supplying me with the missing saucer texture I needed).  The work I did involved reworking textures a bit to bring them up to 1024, swapping nacelles, and doing the registries.

But those two are the artists.

Besides the stock NASA stuff, you're kind of left to create your own.

If you have moderate skill with ModViewer and a paint proggie, here's what you can do.

a) Load a planet in ModViewer from SFC.  Get it the right size and take a screen cap.
b) Pull in into a paint program and change all the VB-like blue to black.  Save.
c) Load a ship into ModViewer.  Arrange it so that it looks solid, no holes in the shape.  Cap.
d) Change the blue to black.  Now you want to select everything except the ship.
e) Go back to your planet. Copy. Go back to your shape.  Paste into Selection.
f) If all goes well, you have a planet behind your ship.

There are other ways as well, but this is a good basic method.

Or try Universe and/or Terragen...those are good tools as well..

Hey Atheorhaven!

I just wanted to bug ya about procuring the Enterprise.

How do you suppose we should handle this?

I believe I've mentioned this to you before, but I do have a 56k connection, which is a bummer when trying to snag a 15meg file. It's doable, just takes a while...

Okay, I've been thinking about this.. what size file is good for you on a normal download?

Once I know, I'll split the file into parts (maybe by 2 textures and mod files then 3 textures, etc)... and then send you the links to those..

Hey Atheorhaven!

I'd say on a good day I can download between 5-6 meg files at a time in under half an hour.

So I guess that would equate to splitting up Enterprise into perhaps three separate downloads?

You bet... that's exactly what it'd mean.  I have some time potentially tomorrow to do this, so I'll split the file into three tonight and then send you the links to each part via email.  Just let me know when you have it so I can delete it off the server.

Guys if you want I can act as a inbetween and upload to my site. I will not put a direct link to it, so it will not be available for download. I can then send the download link to Kaenyne, and he can get it at his leizsure.

That shouldn't actually be a problem... what I'll do is upload it to one of the two servers I have access to, and then send the links over.  The delay has been due to the lack of time I've had lately... I was planning on doing that today, but we got a babysitter at the last minute and my wife then dragged me along on a night of togetherness and music and all that junk.

I'll try to get it up there in the afternoon tomorrow.. I did notice a small area on one of the pylons that needed a fix, so that'll be a few minutes in the morning before I repack it...
