Personal Favor and Question
« on: January 22, 2004, 09:04:13 pm »
Ok I have ask this before but someone told me it was immpossible, but maybe theres a way

Ok I often like to play SFC2 OP, and I lvoe when theres a mission where theres more than 4 ships, I like the feeling of war, not just a one on one skirmish, since SFC2 OP 1st player skirmish only has the ability to command 3 ships at a time I dont get the fleet experience, but if there was a way that I can use the other 4 slots in the game as allies and have a script that creates enemies for me, itll be perfect, now I know what your saying that might lag the game and etc.., but my computer can handle it, I like playing campaigns, but sometimes I just want one skirmish, so is there any scripts for Orion Pirates that can generate enemy vessel, or can someone make one that can create a fleet or 12 or 15 enemy vessel, I dont know how to do it, if I did I would but it would be nice, and is there a way to make 8 scripts one for each main race or something like that, I want to ba able to use my shiplist also, its TNG based well thanks guys

Co-Op Ace 3.2 will allow you to do this.

Co-Op Ace is designed for GSA play, however if you go into the game like launching for D2 play, on the screen where you choose D2, on the lower right hand corner there is a button that says Host.. you can access GSA missions there for single player game mode.. you can set up to 5 AI Allies with 3 ships each as well as 3 ships for yourself, and using the config utility for Co-OP before you launch the game, you can make it as difficult as you like for yourself.

The AI will take the Total BPV used by the players (or AI Alllies) and multiply it against the difficulty setting you choose and give the AI a huge fleet to contend with depending on the ships you allow the AI to select.

Hope that this helps

However, you won't be able to control said AIs.  Just so you know, there can be up to 8 ships created into a team, and I think 6 can fit within the fleet control screen. This *HAS* to be scripted, however, and these ships cannot be picked from a selection screen.

Yup true, I cant wait for someone to make a script that allows you to control 6 ships, that would be fun, but the co op thing sounds great, is there a link, for me to download it,please

Fleet Mission Script Editor used to do this for EAW. It was a handy-dandy utility which allowed you to create a script which would run a set-piece battle. You could have up to like 15 ships on a side IIRC. Very handy tool for setting up fleet battles.

Note that FMSE did all the actual "scripting", you just told it what you wanted.

AFAIK it was never ported to OP.
