I heard a rumor, and It's only a rumor, that you can flash the ATI 9800 PRO TO 9800 XT . Is this true?

I'm thinking about Doing another upgrade, sine my sis in law really wants me PCI Card for her HP. although I've been very pleased also with Nvidia cards, It does raise an interesting question. My first thought would be no, since as I understand It, the XT version has more monitioring then the Pro. But I figured I'd ask you GURU's too make sure.

I have seen what you are talking about but I can't find it at the moment. I did however find ATi Radeon 9600NP/Pro to 9600XT - Flash Guide. I would look around at that site you might find what you are looking for there. In fact I pretty sure that is where I saw what you are looking for. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for that link Javora. Before I posted, I actually thought about Pming you, But you kept bouncing around so much I couldn't find you.

No problem, hope you found what you are looking for. Pming me wouldn't have been a problem, if you look long enough you will notice that my bouncing around is in a predictable fashion.
