Ringworld ?
« on: January 19, 2004, 09:50:14 pm »
How did the Kzinti from Larry Nivens Ringworld novel find their way into the Starfleet universe? Were the SFB creators Niven fans or did they just like the name???

Thanks

Niven wrote a screen play for the animated series based on the short story, "the Soft Weapon".
Kzin were included here.

When ADB saw the klingon battle cruiser blue prints from the technical drawings, it had lots of phasers not seen in the films.
ADB included Kzin as the border race that the klingons would be using the extra phasers to shoot down incoming drones with.  At least thats what the designer notes read, thats funny, I just read that in my commanders edition that I was researching for my refit progression project.

It has been a while since I had the ruleset in my hands. I forgot how heavy it was.
