As the thread says - it's accurate, but it turned out damned ugly, I was searchin the web for Federation class blueprints and stumbled on this site: http://home.earthlink.net/~casimiro/blueprints.html

It has what seem to me to be some of the most accurate blueprints of the series and pilot connies I've yet found; though there's a single mistake on the first pilot verion in that the flux chillers (S-curve bit on the backs of the nacelles) were flush with the nacelles rather than being ridged like on the later versions as he depicts.

I was bored and so used LS's new connie to make some pilot variations but these didn't look anything like the actual pilot versions as they were covered in weathering and gridlines so I went instead to the old connie he released a while ago and came up with the version in these pics. This is the Enteprise as seen in the 2nd pilot show 'Where No Man Has Gone Before' I'd run through all the differences but nobody would read the post as it's getting fairly long as it is.

The only major inconsistencies with the actual studio model are 1. the square light on the front of the bridge module is missing as it would also appear on the b/c decks at the same time; 2. there are 4 windows on the front left edge of the saucer - there are only meant to be 2 but the texture is duplicated from the forward right hand side; 3. the rear left lights on the saucer were only painted on and so were never lit (this side of the model was never shown as it contained all the electrics)

Coments/suggestions/flames welcome...

Bump - already have done, it's even uglier, and true to the studio model has no window lighting (the model was solid IIRC)

Cool that she's already available!

Could you point us to a site/link to get one, Lestat?

Thanks!

Erm, Lord Schtupp - can I release these?

LOL They're both ready to go but I never release anything without the word from the original creator(s)

Another thing: RogueNineCH will you be able to host these at your site?

Of course

.. Great job, but I dont think its so ugly....

Anyway, I had planned to do this eventually of course, but I had wanted to accurize my connie to the highest degree of precision possible first. At the time of the first version, the most accurate set of plans were done by Allen Everhart, the young laddie who perished in the Iowa (?) turret explosion  in 1989.

Shortly after releasing V1 of my Connie, I found Alan Sinclairs site:

 Alan Sinclair's 1701 plans

Here is a set of plans in AutoCAD format where measurements were taken directly off the studio model at the Smithsonian. I believe these are still the most accurate plans yet although the Charles Camisaro Plans are outstanding in every way and also seem extremly accurate. Anduril and I were checking out this site a couple of months ago and had agreed that Detail sheet #7 was very useful indeed.

Well actually I noticed a few of the windows on the sec hull were not quite right, plus the rear quarter windows on the edge of the saucer were back to front in their arrangement. I didn't mean the ship was ugly, just that without all the gridlines and weathering and so on it looked so... bland.

Oh BTW on your SFB version the little extension on the left intercooler of the left nacelle - all the polygons are inverted so you can't see the extension properly.

Damn! lol.... will fix that too. Thanks for spotting that.

By the way, I did get my Hotkeys working again, I simply start the game using the main exe file instead of the shortcut that the game installs. if I had game stills i think I would have spotted that - weird huh...
